These little helpers can simplify photography at longer distances many times over: Rangefinders. They determine the distance between your camera and your subject. It allows you to focus the lens on the distance.
Most modern digital SLR cameras already have rangefinders built in, called autofocus. So the camera detects the distance and sets it to maximum sharpness. However, if you want to take pictures with a viewfinder camera or if you need a rangefinder for shooting film or astronomy, you will find a large selection in our range. But the practical and modern devices can also be a great help for hunting, playing golf, at sea, hiking and all other outdoor activities.
Modern rangefinders use laser technology. They are compact, lightweight and fit in any pocket. Being able to measure distances accurately is a big advantage, especially in cluttered terrain. With our models, this is child's play. Regardless of weather and light conditions, they provide you with accurate results that you can read in seconds from the clear LED display with automatic brightness control.
Ergonomically built, our models offer you the option of operating them with just one hand. High-performance optics provide you with highly brilliant and sharp images down to the smallest details. Thanks to the finest optoelectronics, precise distance readings and other important ballistic output values can be called up and evaluated conveniently and quickly at the touch of a button.
The powerful rangefinders deliver clear and razor-sharp images even at dusk and in other poor light conditions. The large field of view makes it easy to accurately acquire the target quickly.
No matter what the weather throws at you, our rangefinders can handle a downpour because they are waterproof and extremely rugged.
A laser rangefinder consists of a transmitter and receiver optics and a timing device. The laser emits a light pulse, which is reflected by the targeted object and picked up again by the rangefinder. Depending on the type of device, this takes a maximum of one second. The device now measures the time span between the sending and receiving process. This calculates the distance and provides you with the exact value on the screen.
The operation of a rangefinder is very simple. Just hold it steady in your hand. Alternatively, rangefinders can be mounted on a tripod. This leaves your hands free. However, if you don't have a tripod or want to save unnecessary ballast, you can simply use the edge of a wall or the roof of a car as a support.
Many discussions surround the danger of laser measuring devices for the human eye and the eyes of animals. And indeed, laser beams should be handled conscientiously and with care.
Distance meters usually work with laser class 2. The radiation of the measuring device is not dangerous for the irradiated eye when irradiated for a short time.
Please read the operating instructions carefully or ask the manufacturer or us in the shop what kind of laser class it is.
We hope you enjoy choosing your distance meter from our rich offer! If you still have any questions, we will be happy to help you by phone or via our contact form.
