The Celestron StarSense Explorer 70 AZ telescope is ideal for beginners due to its intuitive operation. Together with your smartphone, you can easily analyze the night sky.
Use your smartphone to explore the night sky with a telescope - you don't need any experience using a telescope
Patent-pending StarSense technology uses your smartphone to analyze star patterns in the sky. It calculates where the telescope is pointing in real time - so it knows which observing object you're targeting at any given time.
The StarSense Explorer app automatically generates a list of currently visible objects. View planets, brighter nebulae and galaxies, star clusters and double stars from the city, or take your telescope to a darker location to view faint deep-sky objects.
With the manual, azimuthal mount with fine adjustment, you can easily follow the arrows on the screen to your desired target. When the crosshairs turn green, the target is already visible in the telescope's eyepiece.
70 mm refractor with fully coated glass optics for bright, sharp images.
