Vanguard is headquartered in Guangdong, China and was founded in 1986. Since then, they have grown from small beginnings of a single manufacturing facility in Asia to a truly global company. Headquartered in Guangdong, China, they are represented throughout the United States, in many countries in Europe, as well as in China and Japan. The main sales and administrative offices are in Whitmore Lake, Michigan, USA, Luxembourg, Europe and Tokyo, Japan, and as such the binoculars have also been available in Germany for a number of years.
Initially specialising in photo and video accessories such as lens cleaning kits, Vanguard now manufactures positioning equipment such as tripods, monopods and TV mounts in addition to their wide range of binoculars, monoculars and spotting scopes. But they also make photo and video bags, tool cases, hunting cases (archery and gun cases), computer cases and universal cases.
Although Vanguard is not the best-known optical brand, they have built a solid reputation for producing quality binoculars that combine innovative features, functionality and reliability with good value for money.
Vanguard has a wide range of binoculars on offer, in both roof-mounted and Porro prism designs. From the excellent top of the range Endeavor ED binoculars, with their extra low dispersion, ED glass to the Vanguard Ocean and Mariner series, designed specifically for water sports, boating and general marine viewing.
Compact binoculars are well equipped with the DA, DR, SDT and NDT series binoculars. Some are designed for outdoor use, others are ideal for viewing operas or in the theatre. Zoom binoculars are also available in the ZF range.
Most binoculars are available in black, but some models are also available in camo print, especially for hunting, and in bright yellow versions for marine use.
