Fujifilm X-T5
The FUJIFILM X-T5 offers photographers a perfect overall package: it is equipped with fifth generation image technology - the back-illuminated 40.2 megapixel X-Trans*1 CMOS 5 HR sensor and the fast X-Processor 5 - and offers integrated five-axis image stabilization over up to seven f-stops (EV)*2. Despite its enormous performance, it is smaller and, with a weight of only 557 grams, also lighter than the previous model.*3
Like the previous models in the X-T line, the X-T5 has a centrally positioned electronic viewfinder and several large control dials. Inside, it offers a variety of technical innovations, including a standard sensitivity of ISO 125, a fastest shutter speed of 1/180,000 sec, the "Pixel Shift Multi-Shot" function and the subject recognition autofocus based on deep learning technology, which identifies and tracks various subjects (e.g. animals or vehicles).
The X-T5 records videos in up to 6.2K/30p quality. The high-resolution folding touchscreen monitor and the double memory card slot round off the features of the new camera.
The X-T5 is the ideal tool for demanding photographers who travel a lot and do not want to compromise on image quality. It is as handy as it is versatile and is ideal for fast reportage and street photography as well as for high-quality landscape and portrait photography.
High-resolution X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and X-Processor 5
The X-T5 is equipped with a back-illuminated 40.2 megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor, which delivers a very high resolution without disturbing image noise and therefore an overall brilliant image quality.
A further developed pixel structure results in a greater amount of light on the sensor, so that ISO 125 is now available as the standard sensitivity and no longer needs to be selected via the extended ISO range.
The new sensor can also be controlled with extreme precision, allowing ultra-short exposure times. The fastest shutter speed of the electronic shutter has been increased by 2.5 EV steps from 1/32,000 sec. to 1/180,000 sec.
The new sensor opens up new creative possibilities, especially when shooting in bright surroundings. For example, on sunny summer days or on the ski slopes, you can achieve the attractive bokeh effect with the aperture open or freeze fast movements with ultra-fast shutter speeds for maximum sharpness.
Innovative photo functions
With the "Pixel Shift Multi-Shot" function, the camera takes 20 high-resolution images one after the other in raw data format, whereby the image sensor is minimally shifted after each exposure. The resulting individual photos can be combined into a single image file with a resolution of 160 megapixels using the free "Pixel Shift Combiner" software. This function is particularly interesting for photographic documentation and digitization in the fields of art and culture as well as for high-quality still life and product photography.
The camera has the "Soft skin effect" function for a particularly attractive reproduction of skin tones. The post-processing time for portrait shots is significantly reduced, so that high-quality image results are available faster than ever.
The X-T5 is equipped with automatic white balance based on deep learning technology. The camera recognizes different light sources (e.g. incandescent lamps) even more precisely and adjusts the white balance accordingly.
The X-T5 offers 19 film simulations, including "Nostalgic Negative" for high color saturation and smooth tonal gradations. It supports the HEIF image format, which delivers 10-bit image files that are up to 30 percent smaller than standard JPEG files. The integration of this feature underlines FUJIFILM's reputation for delivering the highest quality images directly from X Series cameras.
Built-in image stabilizer and intelligent autofocus
The in-camera five-axis image stabilization (IBIS) compensates for camera movement over up to seven stops (EV)*2. Even at night, at dusk or in other low-light situations, you can shoot freehand. The IBIS mechanism also enables the "Pixel Shift Multi-Shot" function via the high-precision shift of the image sensor.
The X-T5 is equipped with an innovative autofocus system that allows the photographer to concentrate fully on the subject and the image composition. They can trust the camera to focus reliably and precisely on the subject. The X-T5's autofocus system offers object-oriented subject recognition based on artificial intelligence. The algorithm developed using deep learning technology not only recognizes and tracks people's faces and eyes, but also reliably keeps animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, planes and trains in focus.
The 40.2 megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR has more phase detection pixels than the previous image sensors in the X series, which results in even more precise focusing in AF-S mode, for example in landscape or portrait shots. A new AF algorithm for predicting object movements enables even more reliable focus tracking in continuous focus (AF-C).
Convenient operation
On the top of the X-T5 there are three control dials for shutter speed, ISO sensitivity and exposure compensation. Like the aperture ring on many XF lenses, they allow the most important exposure parameters to be controlled even when the camera is switched off. This makes the X-T5 the ideal tool for transferring your own creative intuition directly into the image production process.
The new LCD monitor offers a resolution of 1.84 million pixels and can be tilted in three directions. When shooting from the hip or overhead, for example, the display remains in the optical axis and is always easy to read, so that comfortable and unrestricted working is possible even in demanding shooting situations.
The electronic viewfinder of the X-T5 offers a high-resolution viewfinder image with 3.69 million pixels and 0.8x magnification. The image is optimally corrected and free of parallax errors and distortion, which otherwise often occur when the eye position changes.
The further development of the IBIS mechanism, the electronic viewfinder and other components allows a compact and lightweight design. Despite its performance, the camera weighs just 557 grams*4 and handling has been optimized, with improved operability of the dials and buttons. The weatherproof housing can also be used in damp and dirty environments without hesitation.
Advanced video functions
The X-T5 records video in 6.2K/30p 4:2:2 10-bit format. In 4K HQ mode, the camera uses the depth of detail of the 6.2K data for internal oversampling to generate a superior quality 4K image. The X-T5 supports F-Log2, which offers an extended dynamic range of more than 13 stops and thus further creative potential in video editing.
In combination with a compatible Atomos external HDMI recorder, 12-bit RAW video files can also be recorded and saved as Apple ProRes RAW*5 in 6.2K at frame rates up to 29.97 frames per second. In conjunction with the Blackmagic Design Video Assist 12G series monitor recorders, the raw video data can be saved as Blackmagic RAW in up to 6.2K quality and 29.97 frames per second.

Tamron 18-300mm f3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD
The 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 covers a wide focal length range from approx. 27mm to 450mm (KB equivalent). It is the world's first Zoom lens from Tamron with 16.6x magnification for mirrorless APS-C cameras and offers all the advantages of all-in-one Zoom lenses, which are suitable for a wide range of photographic applications.
The autofocus system is based on an exceptionally quiet and responsive linear motor with VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) technology. The optical construction of the lens includes high-precision special optical glass that guarantees a consistently high resolution performance. In terms of image quality, the 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 occupies a top position in the class of all-in-one Zoom lenses.
With the shortest focusing distance of 0.15 m at the wide-angle position and the largest possible magnification of 1:2, this lens also impresses with surprisingly good close-up capabilities for this lens class. The 18-300mm F/3.5 -6.3 features the VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilization developed by Tamron, which enables sharp freehand shots even at very long telephoto focal lengths. As with other Tamron lenses for mirrorless system cameras, the diameter of the filter thread is 67 mm.
