LAOWA 7.5mm f2 A for MFT
The LAOWA 7.5mm f/2.0 A for Micro Four Thirds comes in this version with automatic iris control. The built-in CPU chip and the aperture motor provide here for the aperture control via the camera, the transfer of the EXIF data as well as the use of the in-camera viewfinder magnifier.
The LAOWA 7.5mm f/2.0 A is still the most extreme wide-angle lens with a f/2.0 aperture for MFT cameras. It is highly light-intense and enables distortion-free wide-angle shooting for photo and video recording with camera or drone. In addition to these optical highlights, LAOWA has placed particular emphasis on an ultra-compact design and very low weight. Thus, the new lens weighs just 150g and is extremely small for a high-speed super wide-angle with 48mm length and 53mm diameter.
The optical construction consists of 13 elements in 9 groups with 2 aspherical elements and 3 extra-ring refracting elements. This reduces distortion as well as chromatic aberration to a minimum while providing excellent optical performance from image corner to image corner. The extreme angle of view of 110° and the extremely high f/2.0 speed allow for impressive photos even in low light such as landscape photography at dusk, indoor photography or astrophotos.
A 46mm filter thread allows the use of protective and creative filters even at this angle of view. With a low closest focusing distance of only 12cm, the foreground can be included in a visually appealing way for particularly effective landscape shots. Also new in this version are the 5 aperture blades, which provide a wonderful 10-beam light reflex in the image. The focusing is manual.
