The Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 50mm F2.0 aspherical Z-mount is a high-performance standard manual focus lens optimized for the image sensors of mirrorless Nikon Z-mount cameras (Nikon FX format). The lens is based on apochromatic optical design and is highly corrected to eliminate optical aberrations including longitudinal chromatic aberrations.
The elaborate optical design consists of 8 groups of 10 lens elements, including two double-sided aspherical elements, two with abnormal partial dispersion and floating elements. Furthermore, the 12 aperture blades form a circular aperture not only at F2.0 and F2.8, but additionally at F5.6, which enables a circular bokeh from a point light source. Haptically, the new lens impresses with Voigtländer's usual high-quality workmanship and brilliant imaging performance that is exceptional in all facets.

The lens is equipped with electronic contacts, enabling communication between the lens and the body. In addition to Exif information and in-camera image stabilization (3 axes), the combination of a compatible body and the latest firmware (* 1) supports three types of focusing functions:
