Probably the most important question when buying a camera is: Do I want to be able to change my lens?
Lenses are the eye of the camera and play just as important a role for good photos as the camera itself. If you buy a camera with a fixed lens, you are bound to this one lens and will hardly be able to photograph every motif correctly with it. However, these cameras are usually more compact and also cheaper, especially when you consider the purchase costs of the interchangeable lenses.
However, if you opt for a camera with an interchangeable lens, you can choose from a wide range of interchangeable lenses and get lenses for every occasion. Of course, this is associated with more effort and higher costs, but it will be noticeable in the end result in terms of quality.
Should this be your first camera or do you just want to take pictures without worrying about settings? In that case, we would rather recommend not using interchangeable lenses. This means that we recommend buying a compact or bridge camera.
For ambitious amateur and advanced photographers, we recommend the use of interchangeable lenses and thus the purchase of a system (DSLM) or single-lens reflex (SLR) camera.
