The Canon EF 200-400mm 1:4.0 L IS USM is a professional-class telephoto zoom lens with an integrated 1.4x extender to extend the focal length to 280-560 mm. The 4-stop image stabilizer ensures increased image sharpness and the intuitive control for better handling.

The image stabilizer enables razor-sharp images with exposure times up to four stops longer than normally possible. Three IS modes are available for effective stabilization and also enable compensation during the panning movement and stabilization only at the moment of shooting, so that you can also follow moving subjects without any problems.

The use of magnesium alloy as the housing material ensures stability and durability without generating additional weight. The lens is protected against dust and moisture, and the use of a fluorite coating makes it easy to clean.

The fast and virtually silent autofocus is driven by a ring ultrasonic motor. The option of manual focusing is retained at all times and individual controls are available on the lens housing for aperture selection and focus preset. Power Focus is also available in EOS Movie mode.
