Peak Design Strap Slide Coyote / Brown-Beige
Enormously versatile camera strap - can be used as a neck strap, shoulder strap or sling strap
The Slide is the widest strap from Peak Design. It is the flagship of the Peak Design strap system. Its key feature is its enormous versatility. You can wear the Slide as a neck harness, as a shoulder harness or as a sling harness. Other features include high wearing comfort, quick camera access and fold-out metal brackets for one-handed length adjustment. There is also a comfortable and at the same time very secure fastening system. All these features make the Slide a perfect strap in every respect for SLR cameras of all sizes and for mirrorless medium format cameras
.Flatter, more flexible, flatter buckles, non-slip rubber coating, no unintentional adjustment
The comprehensive facelift comes with many detailed improvements. One major optimization concerns the rubber coating on one of the two sides of the belt. The new rubber coating has a much better grip than that of the old Slide harnesses. In the area of the bar buckle, the Slide is flatter than its predecessor. This is partly due to the flatter buckles and flatter folding brackets. In addition, one of the strap ends is incorporated directly into the bar buckle. This not only makes the belt flatter, it also has another very important benefit: The belt no longer adjusts itself so easily, as there is now only a single belt layer running directly over the plastic buckle. This ensures greater friction and provides a better grip. The predecessor had two smooth nylon webbings running over each other, which did not provide sufficient friction. The strap still has a thin inner padding, which cushions the weight of the camera attached to the strap. However, the new padding is more flexible than its predecessor, which makes the strap more flexible. At the same time, the padding does not become permanently curved, even after prolonged use.
Perfectly thought-out, secure fastening system with buckles and anchor loops
Aspecial feature is the clever fastening system that the Slide shares with all other Peak Design harnesses. The system consists of the buckles on the actual strap and the sturdy anchor loops for attaching to your camera. The anchor loops and the buckles are extremely securely connected, but can still be detached from each other with one hand. Thanks to this system, you can attach the strap to your camera quickly and easily. You have countless options for attaching the anchor loops to your camera: You can attach the loops to the strap eyelets, for example, or you can attach them to the tripod thread of the camera using the enclosed camera plate. A combination of both is also possible.
Flatter buckles and anchor loops with angled washers for easier engagement
The Slide has flatter buckles than its predecessor. The anchor loops have also been optimized. They have slightly angled washers, which makes it easier to engage. The buckles and anchor loops are backwards compatible with their older counterparts.
