The FG hot shoe adapter was specially designed for the MZ models. In contrast to the hot shoe adapter F, it allows the flash unit to be folded out.
The hot shoe adapter is inserted into the hot shoe of the camera and enables a cable connection between the flash unit and the camera. It is equipped with a flash foot on the bottom and a socket for the 5-pin connection cable F on the top.
