The VG-GFX1 adds convenience to portrait shooting. When attached to the camera, the user will find many controls in the usual place when the camera is rotated 90 degrees. The grip can be equipped with an NP-T125 battery (optional) to power the camera over long distances. Using the separately available AC-15V adapter, it is also possible to recharge the battery in the grip within only about two hours.
