Datacolor Spyder 2024
Value Proposition
Digital creatives want to be confident that the images they capture, create, edit and view on their monitors are displayed as accurately as possible. Manually calibrating a monitor (laptop/desktop) is the first important step in achieving this goal. It ensures a color-accurate starting point for editing and allows
users to express their creative vision and present their work as accurately as possible, both digitally and in print. Even if monitors and screens are factory calibrated, it is important to calibrate the monitor according to the intended output medium (e.g. print or web display) as well as to counteract the aging process of the monitor. Users should therefore calibrate their monitors every two weeks, before color-critical work or whenever there is a change in lighting conditions or location. Calibration only takes about 90 seconds with the Datacolor Spyder, so users can get an accurate view of their digital work and maximize the color performance and accuracy of their monitor for their specific workflow.
Even a trained eye cannot rely on the exact color setting of a monitor. Our perception is designed to balance light and color, while the Spyder performs an unbiased assessment of the monitor's color accuracy. With a calibrated monitor, the user sees exactly the same color on the screen that is stored in the image file in the form of color values. With the handy and robust Spyder, users can optimize their workflow for the creation of photos, content and digital design - in the studio or on the go. Spyder can calibrate a wide range of monitors including wide and standard gamut LED monitors as well as the latest technologies such as OLED, Mini-LED and Apple Liquid Retina XDR. It optimizes the color richness, deep shadows, nuanced highlights and enhanced detail reproduction that these monitors offer.

, making color surprises a thing of the past
- Datacolor's exclusive Device PreviewTM Beta feature lets you simulate how your photos will look on other devices on your calibrated monitor without having to open them for preview on those other devices. Device PreviewTM Beta also allows you to soft proof your image for print to see how your image will look on paper.
Adapt to changes in light
Automatic room light measurement monitors the lighting in your environment. This gives you full control over whether your current display profile is the most suitable for your work. Not
every task requires controlled lighting, but allowing your Spyder to calibrate to your room lighting will ensure that your monitor profile is optimal. Room lighting calibration involves creating multiple profiles for different lighting situations in the room.
CheckCal gives you peace of mind
CheckCal is Datacolor's answer to the question of whether your calibration is still correct. CheckCal performs a short test on your monitor to check whether your calibration is still up to date.
