Connect directly or via a local WLAN

The WLAN adapter W-E1 makes it easy to integrate a compatible EOS camera* with two memory card slots into the local WLAN in the studio or home. It also enables ad-hoc connection with mobile devices that have the Canon Camera Connect app is enabled, as well as with Mac and PC computers with active EOS Utility software - for exactly the connection that suits your location and workflow.

See through the eyes of the EOS: Live View with Remote Access

Compose your shot from the screen of your smartphone, tablet or computer. No matter where your camera is within range, you'll always have a clear view of the subject, allowing you to trigger the shot at just the right moment. Transfer image and video files directly to PC/Mac or mobile device

Share your shots via a connected iOS/Android mobile device on which the Canon Camera Connect app is enabled or via a PC/Mac with EOS Utility software active. Once the images are transferred, they can be easily uploaded to the web or viewed on the display. You can also start post-processing before you get home.

Remote shooting via Wi-Fi even from a distance

Trigger shooting wirelessly from up to 10 meters away. This is ideal for shooting from unusual angles or when photographing subjects that are easily startled.

Ultra-compact SD card design

The W-E1 WLAN adapter fits neatly into the SD card slot of a compatible EOS camera* with two memory card slots, enabling full WLAN connectivity without attachments to the camera. Weighing only about 2 grams, you'll barely notice the adapter is there - until you use it.
