The control card is a two-sided flexible card made of special plastic with a gray and white anti-reflective coating.
The gray surface serves as a reference surface for exposure metering (18% reference gray) and the white side enables the correct white balance for digital photography.
You measure the respective side of the control card with your SLR camera and carry out an exposure measurement or a manual white balance - and the camera is perfectly adjusted to the current lighting conditions and guarantees optimum image results.
