The VG-C5 Vertical Grip is designed to provide the same secure handling and control as the horizontal grip of the camera itself for superior comfort and operability during long shooting sessions. The grip and shutter button have the same ergonomic design as the camera body. Control access is also similar and is via an independent custom button (C5), a dial on the front and L and R dials on the rear with a lock function on the R dial. The operation is the same for both horizontal and vertical shooting

Efficient use of two batteries for extended shooting time

The VG-C5 vertical grip has space for two NP-FZ100 batteries. Improvements to the circuitry allow parallel power supply to achieve a longer operating time than the VG-C4EM vertical grip. The remaining time for both batteries is shown simultaneously on the camera display, allowing the user to continue shooting with peace of mind.

The VG-C5 vertical grip has the same dust- and moisture-resistant design as the camera body itself and functions as part of a reliable system that works dependably even under challenging conditions. It is also based on a special magnesium alloy frame that ensures outstanding durability.

Additional functions

The VG-C5 vertical grip has an easily accessible battery compartment, a tripod connection, attachment points for a camera strap, AF ON / AEL / C1 / C2 / C5 buttons, a multi-selector button and a lock function on the rear R dial. It also supports power supply and charging via the camera’s USB-C® port
