The biggest challenge for macro photographers is keeping the camera perfectly still while focusing. A movement of even one millimeter can destroy the shot, making it easy to lose critical focus even with a tripod. This is where the focus rail is crucial. It gives you precise control over the distance between the lens and the subject. The NiSi focusing slide has an adjustment range of 130mm (1.25mm of travel per turn) and can be used on a flat surface or on a tripod thanks to the four removable feet. For dual-axis control, you can mount two systems on top of each other at a 90º angle.

Features

The NiSi Macro Adjustment Slide is compatible with the Arca-Swiss dovetail

mount

and comes with an integrated Arca-Swiss quick-release plate and clamp. The long plate for telephoto lenses is ergonomically designed for easy locking and unlocking. The bottom of the rail features ⅜" and ¼" threads for all compatible tripod heads, as well as four (removable) studs that allow it to be used directly on a tabletop. The 180mm rail has an adjustment range of 130mm (1.25mm of travel per turn) via the retractable crank or the adjustment screw at the other end, and also features a 360º rotatable head. Both sides of the rail are engraved with index markings to further facilitate precise positioning.
