The legendary travel series from Peak Design has long been a household name. But in the great outdoors, off the beaten track, a backpack has to meet even higher demands. The Outdoor Backpacks offer everything a real hiking backpack needs - and retain the freely configurable interior for packing cubes of all sizes. So you get all the configuration options you are used to, together with real outdoor robustness on the outside.

Newly developed, weatherproof TerraShell housing

The first major difference lies in the new material, the TerraShell™ 210D outer shell with ripstop fabric, which is used for the first time and exclusively in the Outdoor series and reliably withstands all loads. Rain covers are also available as an option to keep you safe even in the worst weather.

Optimum fit with an outdoor-ready carrying system

The carrying system is also completely new to meet the requirements of longer hikes in any terrain. Comfortable, fully adjustable straps take the load off your shoulders and distribute it evenly. Exclusively on the 45 liter backpack, you can adjust the shoulder straps at the top with a ladder system to find the best size for your body. A wide, removable hip belt with buckle also transfers some of the backpack weight to the hip area - which relieves the back and also creates space for an integrated mesh pocket for glasses and a capture clip holder. Last but not least, you can also connect the straps crosswise. With two chest straps, the rucksack sits perfectly on the body and does not slip even when you are moving around a lot. The chest straps are hooked into the shoulder straps with aluminum hooks.
Another issue that Peak Design is tackling in a new way: the annoying sweating on your back. With a ventilated back panel made of quick-drying, breathable material, the support surface ventilates quickly and comfortably

. Individual organization with up to 3 cubes in the main compartment

The interior is clearly structured: A large full-length main compartment, stabilized by the robust frame and extended with a flexibly adjustable roll-top. Of course, both are fully compatible with the Camera and Packing Cubes, so you can completely customize the layout yourself. From a pure camera backpack with a large Camera Cube to mixed use with a medium version and Packing Cubes to a pure outdoor configuration - create the right configuration for every occasion. With the new, flexible Ultralight Cubes, you also save a lot of weight and can easily organize fresh and used laundry, equipment or camping accessories. The system is therefore also suitable for longer distances, hikes with a lot of incline or for climbing.

Rolltop with special closure expands the interior and attaches sleeping mats

You can control the volume of the backpack via a rolltop closure - and secure it with the newly designed Ultra Cinch™ closure. This rope pull system is not only robust, secure and easy to use, but is also designed to enclose sleeping mats and similar luggage. In the smallest configuration, the rucksack has a volume of 34.5 liters, in the maximum configuration it reaches its full capacity of 45 liters.

Flex side pockets for almost anything

Numerous outer pockets and compartments expand the transport capacity. Everything you need to access on a hike can be stored here. Whether it's the tripod and a large water bottle on the sides, the tent poles or your keys on the integrated safety ring.

Attachment option for a capture clip on each shoulder strap

Both shoulder straps have an attachment option for a separately available Peak Design capture clip. This ensures that the camera is reliably secured and immediately within reach. Alternatively, you can also attach the clip to the hip belt.

Other external attachments

Peak Design also has the little things in mind. The many details include an inner pocket for sunglasses, space for a hydration bladder and a secure anchor point for your bunch of keys. There are also rails and loops on the outside for the two Carry-Cord™ straps. These can be used to secure bulky luggage such as a tent or sleeping bag. To securely fasten the straps, 2 Gear Loops™ are also included, elastic clips that connect the strap ropes to the eyelets. This allows you to attach additional cubes on the outside or even place the 2-liter Outdoor Sling over your chest between the straps.
