Billingham Hadley Small Pro Photo Bag

The Hadley Small has long been established by many photographers as a very compact photo bag. Now Billingham has added a new version to this still proven and popular photo bag: the Hadley Small Pro. It features the same removable insert as its older sister. With the identical volume of 3.5 liters, it can also hold a DSLR camera or a mirrorless camera with a standard lens, a second lens and accessories. The differences between the two models can be seen on the outside of the Hadley Small Pro. Nevertheless, they are not mere externals.

Practical photo and multipurpose bag

Active people need bags that serve more than a single purpose. The conception of the Hadley Small Pro follows the model of the larger Hadley One: handle with pleasant leather underside, removable shoulder strap (the shoulder pad SP40 fits to it), trolley strap at the back of the bag. Here the Hadley Small Pro - in contrast to the Hadley Small - also has a document compartment, perfectly protected by a water-repellent zipper. Thanks to these new, functional details, the Hadley Small Pro is not only an optimal photo bag, but also perfectly equipped for the various activities of its owners. In every respect a typical Billingham, the Hadley Small Pro is of course as absolutely weatherproof as all bags of the British noble manufacture.

The internal qualities of the Hadley Small Pro

Because of the innovations mentioned above with approx. 330 x 140 x 260 mm outside larger than the Hadley Small, the Hadley Small Pro has inside the same dimensions: approx. 260 x 80 x 190 mm. The removable padding insert protects photographic equipment and other contents. The insert includes two large and two small dividing pads. They can be used to divide the insert into any compartment size - which can be changed at any time because the dividing pads are held in place by Velcro strips. Two bulbous front pockets are ideal for storing photo accessories or other smaller items that are needed on the go. Flat items, such as (travel) tickets and other items, are stored in the zippered compartment on the back - well protected and at the same time within easy reach.

Incomparably weatherproof and robust

Billingham Bags are widely regarded as extremely noble. This is undoubtedly true. But this attribute alone would neither suffice nor do justice to their true qualities. Rather, they are incredibly robust and tough. And this so lastingly that many users of their Billingham enjoy them for decades. The bag shell consists of two strong layers of canvas or FibreNyte. Between them is a connecting and at the same time water-blocking layer of butyl rubber. Each of the two front pockets has its own cover flap with snap fastener, similar to flap pockets in fashion. The whole bag, i.e. main compartment including front pockets, is protected under a generously sized flap. Its special design keeps rain out, it simply cannot penetrate into the bag. Nevertheless, the bag can be opened and closed quickly thanks to Billingham's proven "Quick Release System". These are two strong leather straps with special perforation and with brass stop bolts. In addition, the straps also have brass buckles. Sensibly, however, one does not open and close these buckles. Their purpose is to adjust the stretch of the bag to the volume of its contents.
