Vaonis Vespera Hygrometer Sensor
Fog is one of the many enemies of amateur astronomers. In a cold or humid environment, droplets and fog can form on the lenses of telescopes and cameras, affecting both the quality of observation and photos. Vespera's anti-fog system is activated when a certain temperature and humidity threshold is reached. Continuous heat generated around the lens removes the fog and provides better viewing conditions and sharper images.
Only for Vespera I, Vespera II and Vespera Passengers
Fog is one of the many enemies of amateur astronomers. In a cold or humid environment, droplets and fog can form on the lenses of telescopes and cameras, affecting both the quality of the observation and the photos. The Vespera hygrometer is a smart accessory that measures the temperature and humidity threshold of your environment at which the lens of your station will fog up. It is ideal for people living in a humid region (sea, ocean, river, lakes, ponds, etc.) or in a region with cold temperatures. The sensor is also ideal in winter when temperatures are close to 0 °C.
Anti-fog system
If you equip your station with this sensor, Vespera's integrated anti-fog system is activated when a certain temperature and humidity threshold is reached. Continuous heat generated around the lens removes fogging and ensures better viewing conditions and sharper images.
Improved focusing
The condensation that causes fogging affects the focusing of Vespera's photo sensor
Initialization and capture times can be longer as a larger number of photos are rejected by our image processing algorithms, which check the quality of the images and discard them if they are not of sufficient quality.
The sharpness of the images, which in astrophotography is mainly judged by the sharpness of the stars and the absence of any halos, is not so good
The hygrometer and its anti-fogging system improve both your observation and your photos
.A discreet design
Measuring less than 13 mm, the hygrometer is equipped with an electronic board, the smallest board our experienced engineers have ever developed. The sensor fits discreetly into Vespera's optical arm and is compatible with the use of filters. It automatically switches the anti-fog system on and off, so you never have to worry about it
