Kowa SV II 8x25 Green
Fully coated optics
All optical components of the SV II series are made of high quality eco-glass and all surfaces are fully coated. The prisms are phase coated to increase reflectivity. These coatings provide high performance in terms of light transmission, color representation, image sharpness, brightness and contrast. As a result, the binoculars deliver clear, vivid and sharp images.
The eyepieces and objective lenses are coated with Kowa KR coating: Kowa Repelling (=KR) technology. KR technology prevents grease, liquid and dirt from accumulating on the surface of each treated lens, making cleaning much easier. In addition, KR technology reduces the risk of scratching sensitive lens surfaces, as less pressure needs to be applied to remove dirt during cleaning. This type of lens coating is a feature normally only found on binoculars in much higher price ranges.
Comfortable & Ergonomic
The SV II series includes a number of convenient features that make it easy to use. It has a large, responsive and easy-to-grip focus wheel to ensure that focus can be adjusted very sensitively. The same applies to the diopter adjustment ring located under the right eyepiece. It, too, is very convenient to use. The next, very practical function is provided by the rotating eyecups, which allow the user to optimize the distance between the pupil and the eyepiece with three clicks. This ensures that even eyeglass wearers can enjoy the full field of view. Finally, a center-mounted tripod socket allows the binoculars to be attached to a tripod (using an adapter).
Waterproof and rugged
In addition to being rugged, Kowa has designed the SV II series to be optimized for use in any climate. They are completely waterproof and filled with nitrogen, preventing fogging of the lenses inside the housing.
The SV IIs are encased in extra-thick armor that protects the optics from impact and scratches to the greatest extent possible. On the lens side, this armor is even disproportionately enlarged to further protect this sensitive area.
Lightweight and easy to use
The binocular housing features several ergonomically shaped contours, which are further accentuated by a different texture of the surface armoring. This makes the binoculars very comfortable to hold, even when wet or when used with gloves. The focus wheel and diopter adjustment ring have also been designed with a very good grip to ensure a high level of operating comfort.
