Celestron Echelon 16x70 binoculars
Even if they have the same key data at first glance, not all binoculars are the same - the differences become especially obvious in low light conditions. In twilight or at night, you need a device with a large objective aperture to gather as much light as possible - but large objectives alone do not guarantee an excellent image. For binoculars to continue to function properly after many years, you also need high-quality images and sturdy construction.
Echelon large binoculars are designed specifically for use in low light conditions. Whether you want to observe the other end of a valley or the starry sky, distant targets are no problem for an Echelon. With an exit pupil of 4.4mm, it delivers a bright and detailed image.
With the second highest magnification in the Echelon line, the 16x70 has a nice magnification for astronomy and already shows quite a bit more detail on distant objects than a lower magnification model.
Excellent optical quality
Celestron Echelon binoculars feature high-quality 70mm objective lenses made in Japan. Excellent BaK-4 prisms have been selected for maximum contrast and sharpness, and all air-to-glass surfaces are coated with Celestron's proprietary XLT coating - the same high-quality coating used on our observatory telescopes to increase contrast and brightness.
Assembled in the USA
The Celestron Echelon binoculars are hand-assembled by experienced technicians in Southern California, and the optics used are sourced from Japan.
High Quality Construction
Each Echelon binocular body is made of aluminum alloy. This makes it both strong and lightweight - an important factor when choosing binoculars. Durable rubber armor protects the body from minor impacts and gives you a secure grip. The binoculars are fully waterproof, and the nitrogen filling protects the optics from fog, dew, and other forms of moisture. So you can use your Echelon even in bad weather.
With waterproof carrying case
Echelon binoculars come in a high-quality, waterproof carrying case that protects them from dust, water, and shock. A foam pad protects them no matter where your journey takes you.
Single Eyepiece Focusing
Echelon binoculars have single eyepiece focusing, so you can adjust each eyepiece individually to your visual acuity. Once you focus it to infinity, you can use the binoculars right away. If you share the binoculars with other observers, they can also quickly and easily focus each eyepiece
Large eye relief
The Celestron 16x70 Echelon binoculars have 18.6mm eye relief, so they are comfortable to use with glasses as well as without. The fold-down rubber eyecups keep your eyes in the perfect position to view the entire field of view.
Tripod mount
Echelon binoculars can be easily mounted on a photo tripod for long observations. With a separately available tripod adapter, you can mount it on a ball head or, better yet, a two-way pointer to observe at your leisure.
