Bought 2.5 years ago from Foto Erhardt and have been using them for birdwatching ever since.Optically flawless and very well made, I use these binoculars "hand-held" despite the high magnification. However, I have a steady hand and am strong enough that I don't mind the weight. That's why the flexibility to track small and fast birds "hand-held" is more important to me than having to do without the slightest wobble, for which a tripod would be necessary.Nevertheless, anyone considering the purchase of these binoculars must be aware of this.Two points that I don't like quite so much:- The eyecups on the eyepiece are very large. I had to get used to them myself and they are probably not recommended for smaller people with a narrower eye relief. The smaller Monarch M5 (12x42), which my wife uses, is much more comfortable.- The eyepiece protection (plastic caps) does not hold (in the sense of being loose quickly). I know this from other Nikon binoculars, so it was not an obstacle to buying the binoculars at the time.Conclusion: very good optics, very good workmanship, affordable and ideal for my particular application. I can recommend it.

Optisch einwandfrei und sehr gut verarbeitet benutze ich dieses Fernglas trotz der starken Vergrösserung "hand-held". Besitze allerdings eine ruhige Hand und bin kräftig genug, sodass mir das Gewicht nichts ausmacht. Deshalb ist mir die Flexibilität auch kleine und schnelle Vögel "hand-held" zu verfolgen wichtiger, als auf kleinste Wackler zu verzichten, wofür ein Stativ notwendig wäre.
Trotzdem muss such das jeder bewusst sein, der sich den Kauf dieses Fernglases überlegt.
Zwei Punkte, die mir nicht ganz so gut gefallen:
- Die Augenmuscheln am Okular sind sehr gross. Musste mich selbst erst daran gewöhnen und ist für kleinere Menschen mit engerem Augenabstand wohl abzuraten. Hier ist das kleinere Monarch M5 (12x42) deutlich angenehmer, welches meine Frau benutzt.
- Der Okularschutz (Plastikkappen) hält nicht (im Sinne von ist schnell lose). Kenne ich von anderen Nikon Ferngläsern, war also kein Hindernissgrund, das Glas damals zu kaufen.
Fazit: sehr gute Optik, sehr gute Verarbeitung, bezahlbar und für meine spezielle Anwendung ideal. Ich kann es empfehlen.
