The AD and AP series comprises roof prism and porro prism binoculars with an objective lens diameter of up to 40 mm. All roof prisms in this group have an additional light transmission coating ("Enhanced Light Transmission Coating") in addition to the full coating ("Full-Multi-Coating"). The binoculars in the A series are the compact, portable and robust little brothers of the S series. Binoculars with the designation "WP" are waterproof. With this series, users can enjoy maximum mobility without compromising on viewing comfort and optical performance.

The brand-new binoculars in the Pentax Sport Optics series combine over 90 years of Pentax experience and the quality you have always come to expect with advanced technologies at unbeatable prices. This is because all Pentax Sport Optics binoculars have long used prisms made exclusively from high-purity BaK4 glass with a high refractive index and their "Full Multi Coating" is now the new standard coating.

Multiple coatings on all lenses

Optimum light transmission is one of the most important aspects for the visual quality of binoculars. This is also the focus of the new technologies for the current Pentax Sport Optics series. The "Full Multi Coating" on all lenses is the new standard coating. It improves light transmission and contrast while minimizing reflections and providing excellent colour fidelity.

Enhanced Light Transmission Coating

The new "Enhanced Light Transmission Coating" raises the optical level of the new Pentax binoculars to a significantly higher level. This optimized light transmission coating increases light transmission and guarantees exceptionally bright images with precise colour rendition.

Phase correction

The design of roof prisms poses a particular challenge. Here, the light rays are reflected several times, resulting in a shift of the light waves. An additional phase correction coating on all Pentax

As the light rays in a prism are deflected several times at different angles, the quality of the optical glass is of crucial importance. binoculars are made exclusively from high-purity BaK4 glass with a high refractive index.

Waterproof

In keeping with the motto "Always with you.", the binoculars from Pentax Sport Optics are also subject to special requirements. All binoculars with the additional designation "WP" are waterproof in accordance with JIS class 6 and can therefore withstand accidental immersion in water up to a depth of 1 m.

Internal focusing

Internal focusing protects the binoculars from the ingress of dust, foreign bodies and moisture.

Nitrogen filling

All binoculars in the A series are filled with nitrogen, which not only prevents condensation in the binoculars but also the ingress of dust and very small airborne particles.
