The VEO ED 8420M is a lightweight, compact, rugged IPX 7 waterproof and fogproof monocular with extra low dispersion (ED) glass for maximum clarity, especially in low light conditions.

This monocular also includes a universal smartphone adapter and Bluetooth remote for digiscoping, allowing you to get closer to the action while photographing or filming your subject on your smartphone.

This monocular gets you 8x closer to the action, while the 42mm objective lens, ED glass, BaK4 roof prisms and advanced multi-coated lenses maximize transmitted light to deliver a clear, sharp image. On the front element is another super tough, scratch, water and oil resistant membrane.

This monocular weighs only 300 g and fits comfortably in one hand or can be easily slipped into a pocket. The monocular is very handy and can be easily carried and used anywhere. This makes the monocular a convenient alternative to binoculars.

For use in the field, there is only one long structured focusing wheel. This makes it easy and intuitive to focus the monocular, even in cold, wet conditions where you need gloves. No need to fiddle around to get your diopters right, just lift the monocular to your eye and focus in an instant to not miss any of the action, whether it's a butterfly on a flower in front of you or a fast-moving object in the far distance.

For added stability in use, the monocular has a 1/4-inch thread that allows it to be attached to a standard monopod, which can also be used as a walking aid, or a table tripod. This makes it perfect for use with a VEO 2S monopod, either on the move or for extended periods in a hide.

To keep the monocular protected, the IPX 7 waterproof and anti-fog housing is housed in a thick rubber armor and there are covers to prevent scratches on the objective lens/eyepiece.

To maximize versatility, the VEO ED 8420M monocular comes with a universal smartphone adapter that allows you to use your smartphone to digiscopy, take photos or record videos. The adapter is suitable for almost any smartphone with a width of up to 55-87 mm.

The smartphone adapter is simply attached securely to the monocular. Rubber grips and a threaded clamp allow the phone to be securely attached to the adapter, and the textured head of the screw allows for easy tightening/loosening. For smartphone camera lenses that are in different locations, and even with multiple lenses, the adjustable mount allows the eyepiece to be moved horizontally and vertically to align the monocular eyepiece with the smartphone camera lens.

When used with a tripod or monopod, you can also use the Bluetooth remote control, which allows you to trigger any IOS or Android smartphone camera without having to touch the smartphone, minimizing the risk of movement blurring the photo.
