The Coolpix P1100 builds on its acclaimed predecessor, the Coolpix P1000, with improved ease of use and enhanced features. The 125x optical Zoom covers an impressive focal length range from 24 to 3000mm *1 and offers versatility from wide angle to super telephoto. For even greater range, the Dynamic Fine Zoom can extend the Zoom range to an incredible 250x *2 (equivalent to 6000mm).

In addition to the extended Zoom, the Coolpix P1100 now offers even more flexibility with selectable AF point control in birdwatching mode, allowing even more precise framing. In addition, users can assign functions to the Fn1/Fn2 buttons on the optional ML-L7 *3 remote control to improve control when shooting from a distance.

Like the Coolpix P1000, the Coolpix P1100 combines the powerful EXPEED image processor from Nikon with a high-performance NIKKOR lens to deliver consistently clear image quality at extreme Zoom levels. The Optical Image Stabilizer (VR) with Dual Detect technology provides stabilization equivalent to 4.0 stops *4, reducing camera shake and ensuring sharp, detailed results - even when photographing distant subjects such as birds or celestial bodies handheld.

Video enthusiasts will be delighted with the Coolpix P1100's 4K UHD/30p recording function and super time-lapse and time-lapse movie options.
