The EOS 1 DX Mark III features incredible continuous shooting speeds: up to 16 frames per second (with optical viewfinder) and up to 20 frames per second (in Live View mode) with full AF/AE tracking. Also impressive is the maximum ISO sensitivity of 819,200, and the camera is equipped with a new AF sensor that offers 28x higher resolution at the sensor center compared to the previous model (EOS-1D X Mark II). In addition, the camera enables internal video recording at 5.5K and 12 bits in RAW format. This feature was previously only available in the professional Cinema EOS models.
Tell stories your way with the Canon EOS-1D X Mark III - Canon's fastest and most powerful camera yet.
Shoot without limits
In tough shooting conditions and under heavy work pressure, take the picture that sets you apart from the competition with the EOS-1D X Mark III. It's the ultimate tool with top-notch low-light capabilities, deep-learning AF, and 5.5K RAW video.
Faster than fast. Speed redefined
There are moments that never repeat. They're over in a split second and never come back. With the EOS-1D X Mark III, you'll capture them at up to 20fps.
Intelligent AF that really impresses
Capture crisp, sharp images. Deep-learning AF algorithms detect a wide variety of situations and even track faces hidden behind eyeglass lenses or helmet visors.
Impressive low-light images
A DIGIC X processor and 20-megapixel sensor deliver incredible low-light performance - up to ISO 102,400, expandable to 812,600, and the EOS-1D X Mark III delivers exceptional dynamic range.
A compelling film camera
In terms of video capture, the EOS-1D X Mark III fits into virtually any workflow. It shoots 4K 60p or 5.5K RAW video, opening up entirely new possibilities.
Use connections professionally
Whether you're using Ethernet in the stadium or transmitting your images via Wi-Fi, the EOS-1D X Mark III keeps you ahead of the competition.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM
Quality L-series lens
The EF 50mm f/1.2L USM is part of Canon's professional L-series of lenses. It combines excellent image quality and ease of use with dust and splash resistant construction.
Large aperture 1:1.2
With a large maximum aperture of 1:1.2, the lens offers outstanding speed for use in low-light conditions. In addition, the large aperture also allows precise control over depth of field.
Excellent reproduction in the out-of-focus area (bokeh effect).
A circular iris diaphragm is used in the lens to provide an attractive, uniform blur in the background; ideal for isolating subjects at wide apertures and for compelling portrait photography.
Fast, near-silent autofocus
Autofocus is operated by the ring-shaped Ultrasonic Motor (USM) built directly into the lens. This enables extremely fast and virtually silent focusing. A high-performance CPU unit and an improved AF algorithm in turn contribute to the high speed of the autofocus. Good holding torque precisely guides the optical design to the focus point without stalling. The electronically controlled focus can be adopted at any time by manual intervention without leaving the AF mode.
Super Spectra coating
The Super Spectra coating and corresponding shaping of the lens elements effectively reduce ghosting and fogging effects, which can occur more frequently with digital cameras due to unwanted reflection from the sensor. In addition, this coating also helps to achieve natural, neutral color reproduction and increase contrast for vivid images.
Forwarding distance information to the E-TTL II flash controller
To ensure precise metering when using appropriate flash units, the lens relays distance information to the E-TTL II flash control of all compatible EOS digital cameras.
