To do this, the EOS 5D Mark IV's 61 AF points1 have been spread over a wider area - an 8 percent expansion in the vertical direction and a 24 percent expansion in the horizontal direction. Fast focus tracking even in low-light conditions
An extremely sensitive AF sensor provides the EOS 5D Mark IV's focusing performance, which is assured down to -3 EV2. In Live View mode, the Dual Pixel CMOS AF is even sensitive down to -4 EV3.

150,000-pixel exposure metering sensor
To perform precise metering, the EOS 5D Mark IV uses a dedicated 150,000-pixel metering sensor (RGB + IR). This sensor also works with the camera's AF system to detect and track color subjects and faces.
