Canon EOS R6 II

Here comes the Canon EOS R6 II - the full-frame hybrid powerhouse with faster shooting, improved autofocus and professional video capabilities that raises the bar for photo and video alike

.

Be uncompromisingly creative. The EOS R6 Mark II's incredible speed, world-class performance and professional video features give you everything you need to master your craft - no matter what kind of shots you prefer

.

Capture perfect moments

Capture

fleeting moments at up to 40 fps in sensational image quality - even in near darkness. The AI-based deep-learning autofocus captures fast-moving subjects no matter where they are in the frame

.

Filming without compromise

Oversampling 4K 60p video across the full sensor width looks great. Intuitive features - such as intelligent autofocus and powerful image stabilization - make it easy to achieve professional results

.

AF that anticipates your every move

Our next-generation deep learning algorithm autofocus delivers even better performance - up to 80% faster than the original EOS R6. The EOS R6 Mark II detects and tracks even more subjects with even greater speed, reliability and precision

.

Holds the subject as if glued to it

Adapts to

the subject's movement and responds to changing speed, direction and pose

.

Turn night into day

The EOS R6 Mark II focuses quickly and precisely, even if you have difficulty recognizing something yourself. The camera focuses reliably in dark environments down to -6.5 EV1 - that's less than the light of the half moon

.

Explosive speed always at the ready

Capturing

the decisive moment has never been so easy. The EOS R6 Mark II enables continuous shooting at up to 40 fps with its electronic shutter and up to 12 fps with the mechanical shutter. In 30 fps RAW burst mode (9), you can shoot 0.5 seconds before you press the shutter button with the pre-shooting option

.

Capture the beauty of movement - handheld

Take hand-held

photos with a long exposure time to intentionally blur moving subjects while keeping the surroundings razor-sharp - all without a tripod

.

Even smoother video recordings

The EOS R6 Mark II's IS detects more types of camera movement than other cameras. When shooting video, in-camera (IBIS) and optical IS of the lens are complemented by Movie Digital IS - for footage that looks like it was professionally shot with a gimbal

.

Professional equipment - professional images

With

the innovative functions that offer you Hollywood effects and cinema quality, you can completely redefine your ideas of video recordings

.

For a longer recording time (11)

  • Beyond the 30-minute limit per clip (10) - Perfect for interviews, conferences and appearances

  • Stay cool - Thanks to improved thermal efficiency

Stay focused

When the EOS R6 Mark II's Detection Only option is activated, the camera will not focus back on the background if the subject moves out of the frame. This feature is inspired by our Cinema EOS C70 camera and mimics the work of a professional focus puller to achieve cinematic results

.

6K ProRes RAW

For maximum flexibility and image quality, you can record 6K ProRes RAW video to an external ATOMOS V+ recorder. The footage is easier to edit and offers a wider dynamic range. The additional resolution enables trimming while maintaining 4K quality

.

Professional sound options

Connect high-quality digital microphones and XLR adapters via the EOS R6 Mark II's multifunction accessory shoe for the soundtrack your videos deserve

.

No fear of the dark

The EOS R6 Mark II's 24.2 megapixel sensor offers an ideal balance of speed, image quality and low-light capabilities. The ability to focus in darkness down to -6.5 EV1 (that's darker than the light of the half moon) is complemented by a maximum ISO sensitivity of 102,400 and an image stabilizer that is effective up to 8 stops of exposure (2).

Technologies that inspire and connect

Never break your flow - with the EOS R6 Mark II. Thanks to the quick and easily accessible controls, you can react quickly to changing situations. The camera is also highly connected, so you can share inspiring moments online directly from your location.

Extended exposure times

Shoot with electronic shutter with exposure times from 1/16,000 sec. to 30 sec

.

Shoot more, think less

With the standard LP-E6NH batteries you can shoot approx. 50% longer. The EOS R6 Mark II is also compatible with any existing LP-E6 series batteries and the BG-R10 battery grip.

DJI RS 3 Mini

The

very first mini version of the RS series, the DJI RS 3 Mini, is a small, lightweight handheld stabilizer with a strong payload capacity. It supports common mirrorless camera and lens combinations and inherits the excellent stabilization performance of the RS 3 series. Unleash your full shooting potential with the DJI RS 3 Mini and achieve professional results effortlessly

.

Lightweight and reliable

The RS 3 Mini adopts a new, innovative design that includes a smaller build, built-in battery and true vertical shooting. The compact and handy body fits easily into a shoulder bag so you can travel light. The RS 3 Mini is about half the size of the RS 3 Pro. This makes it much more comfortable to carry for long exposures

.

Super light, easy to control

The RS 3 Mini weighs only 795 g in portrait mode, which is about 50 % lighter than the RS 3 Pro and 40 % lighter than the RS 3 [1]. It weighs only 850 g when shooting with the horizontal arm

. In addition,

a concentrated center of gravity provides a more stable and ergonomic carrying experience

.

Simply powerful

The RS 3 Mini has a payload capacity of up to 2 kg, making it the best in its class* in terms of weight, so it can easily handle larger configurations such as an Sony A7S3 + 24-70mm F2.8 GM lens. It supports popular full-frame or APS-C mirrorless cameras and enables a wide range of camera and lens combinations. [2] With high-torque motors, the RS 3 Mini can maintain a stable shot with most lenses, even when zoomed to the maximum focal length, without the need for repositioning

*As of January 2023.

Ready for cinema shooting - Professional stabilization

With the same outstanding RS stabilization algorithm (3rd generation) of the RS 3 Pro, the RS 3 Mini can achieve professional image stabilization. Whether you're shooting while running, shooting from a low angle or filming in flashlight mode, your footage will always remain stable

.

Extensive camera movements

The

size and functions of the RS 3 Mini offer many possibilities to achieve extensive camera movements and a unique film language. Camera shake is no longer a problem. So you can capture every moment right from the start and film with more confidence

.

Flexible and comprehensive

An improved dual-layer quick-release plate features a top plate with a curved positioning guide that prevents the camera from rotating and loosening. Efficiency is further improved with clear mounting and locking markings. It also follows the ARCA standard, making it easy to switch between tripods

.

True vertical shots

With the DJI RS 3 Mini, the RS series has made a breakthrough in

true vertical shooting.

Switch to vertical shots immediately without additional accessories. Simply mount the standard quick-release plate to the gimbal's vertical arm and shoot videos optimized directly for social media

.

Compared to portrait modes on other gimbals, the RS 3 Mini's gimbal rotation angle is greatly expanded in native vertical mode. It even offers the same control experience as in horizontal mode. It is also easy to film in upright mode, hanging mode, flashlight mode and other modes

.

NATO extension connector

The RS 3 Mini is equipped with a NATO connector to support the installation of accessories such as briefcase handle, external lights and monitors, allowing for more configurations and greater flexibility

.

Intuitive operation

The RS 3 Mini features the same Bluetooth record button that was introduced on the RS 3 Pro. This feature supports popular mirrorless camera models and allows the RS 3 Mini to automatically reconnect to a camera after initial pairing. [2]

After Bluetooth pairing, you can control the video and
photo recording functions of your camera directly via the record button on the gimbal. If you are using a Sony camera with a supported digital lens, you can control the optical or digital Zoom of the lens directly from the front dial, eliminating the need for a camera control cable. [2]

Gimbal mode button

Press

the M button to switch between PF (Follows with Pan), PTF (Follows with Pan and Tilt) and FPV modes. You can also adjust the follow speed and other parameters of the RS 3 Mini on the touchscreen, allowing for a smoother and more intuitive shooting experience

.

1.4" full color touch screen

The RS 3 Mini features a 1.4" full-color touchscreen with a new user interface. Here you can set most functions without the app and access general settings quickly and intuitively

.

Focusing with the front dial

Like the rest of the DJI RS series, the RS 3 Mini features an ergonomic front dial that can be rotated to adjust focus, ISO, aperture, shutter and other parameters. [3] Control the movement of the gimbal's three axes with the front dial for more effective one-person shooting

.

10 hours of continuous shooting

The integrated battery in the handle supports a runtime of up to 10 hours and provides enough power to fully meet the demands of all-day shooting. [4] Fully charge the RS 3 Mini in just 2.5 hours to get back up and running quickly. You can even use it while charging. [5

]

Let yourself be inspired

The Ronin app is full of smart features that inspire.

Time Lapse

Add a time-lapse to any video to create an engaging opening or a stunning transition

.

Track

Set

the gimbal to move along up to 10 preset points to create a dynamic video of any scene or environment

.

Panorama

Use a panoramic photo to capture more of any landscape and capture the overall image

.

DJI Mic for professional audio recording

Combine RS 3 Mini with DJI Mic to effortlessly enhance vlogs with audio to achieve higher quality. [6] The integrated design makes the DJI Mic ready to use straight out of the charging cradle. The compact wireless microphone can transmit at distances of up to 250 meters and can support up to 15 hours of recording with the charging cradle. The transmitters are lightweight and easy to handle. With the magnetic accessory, the microphone can also be mounted inconspicuously so that you can handle numerous recording scenarios with confidence

.

Notes:

  1. The DJI RS 3 Mini weighs 795g in portrait mode, which is approximately 47% lighter than the RS 3 Pro and 38% lighter than the RS 3. When shooting with the horizontal arm, the product weighs 850g.
  2. Both figures include the quick-release plate and do not include the extension handle/tripod

The perfect camera for me

Since 2019 I have been taking photos with the Canon EOS 90D. A perfect camera for me. But after switching to the EOS R6 Mark II, I realized how much more power a mirrorless camera can have. The autofocus is almost 100 percent accurate every time and at an extremely fast speed that you can't imagine. Admittedly, I was skeptical at first. Switching from a toy camera to a mirrorless camera. But I have no regrets - on the contrary, once you've tried it, you'll never want to give it back.+ extremely fast and accurate autofocus (finds the eyes of animals extremely quickly and focuses on them)+ blur-free photos, thanks to the stabilization of the sensor and the lens (it is possible to photograph the stars by hand, but it is still advisable to use a tripod)+ Very high working speed (HDR photography has never been so fast, without long waiting times)+ 4K HRD video with 60 frames per second (finally fast, high-contrast and high-resolution videos)+ later upgrade option to record 6K via external monitor or video recorder+ old batteries can continue to be used (I can continue to use the old LP-E6N batteries from the EOS 90D. They have less power, but not everyone needs to buy new batteries. Just have a look if you have an old or older Canon camera)- Unfortunately only 24 megapixels, enough for everything, but I would have preferred a few more- no internal flash (a change from the EOS 90D, but even there only very rarely used)- battery life (felt much shorter compared to the EOS 90D), can be attributed to the digital viewfinder, as it also requires power to function- old EF bayonet was smoother- EF lenses can only be used with an adapter (important: if you want to continue using old lenses, you should make sure that you are using EF and not EF-S lenses. Although these can be used, they only utilize a fraction of the sensor area. This makes this camera an approximately 9 megapixel weak camera. This then no longer makes any real sense). If I haven't forgotten anything, I hope that this article will help others who are still undecided. The price for this camera is extremely high in my opinion, although perhaps justified.I don't regret buying this camera, despite having to buy new lenses, as I had almost exclusively EF-S lenses. However, if you were more likely to use Sigma lenses, you may be in luck, as many are also designed for full frame.
