Nikon Z6 II housing
The Z 6II builds on the success of the Z 6. In addition to its ruggedness and ease of use, it offers the ability to record professional-quality movie sequences. Added to this is its photographic performance. The camera is resistant to dust and dripping water, making it suitable for continuous shooting even under adverse conditions. Thanks to the new ability to freely select the direction of rotation of the focusing ring, users can focus manually in the usual way.
Videos can be output by the camera for FX and DX image formats in 4K/UHD and Full HD. Meanwhile, the HLG recording format records more detail, wider dynamic range, and higher contrast. Post-processing becomes largely unnecessary as a result. Eye AF and Animal Detection AF enhancements provide more precise subject focus, even when shooting video.
These AF functions also provide excellent results when shooting stills, keeping pace with the camera's increased speed and performance. The Z 6II supports continuous shooting at 14 fps and a higher maximum number of shots: 200 JPEGs or 124 images losslessly compressed in 12-bit RAW format in one shooting burst.
The Z 6II is aimed at users who want to shoot cinema-quality movies, but also stills with a compact system. The camera is ideal for professional video production or, for example, wedding photography, where agility, flexibility, and uncompromising imaging performance are essential.
Nikon Z bayonet
Both cameras use the Nikon-Z bayonet, which allows light to reach the far corners of the image sensor. Combined with the growing selection of NIKKOR-Z lenses or the more than 300 compatible NIKKOR lenses with F bayonet that can be attached to the FTZ bayonet adapter, Nikon's tradition of optical excellence and innovation reaches unprecedented new heights.
Creative in any light
The large-diameter Z bayonet and large 24.5 MP full-frame sensor ensure low-noise images with the highest level of detail across the exceptionally wide ISO range. With a lens speed of 1:2, "low light autofocus" now works down to -6 EV.
So much faster
Photos are recorded at approximately 14 fps with full autofocus tracking and with auto exposure adjustments. Up to 200 JPEGs or 124 lossless compressed 12-bit RAW images are possible in one shooting series.
Two EXPEED processors
Two processors double the available performance - from autofocus to buffer capacity. Conversion is silky smooth, in filming as in photography.
Two memory card slots
Adaptation to different workflows is straightforward. UHS-II SD cards can be used in one compartment and XQD or state-of-the-art ultra-fast CFexpress cards in the other.
Multimedia powerhouse
Sharper and clearer movie recording with wider dynamic range. Eye AF and Animal Detection AF are available when shooting movies. And movie recordings can be output to external devices when needed.
Rugged
The extremely strong and lightweight construction of this camera is made of magnesium alloy. The camera is easy to carry and rugged enough to be used in any location. It is fully sealed for protection against dust, dirt and moisture.
NIKKOR Z
Achieve cinematic depth of field with the wide selection of fast-focusing, high-speed, compact NIKKOR Z lenses.
The versatility of the Z system
External flash units can also be used at high frame rates of up to 14 fps. The FTZ bayonet adapter (optional) provides compatibility with over 300 NIKKOR lenses with F bayonet.
SnapBridge
The continuously evolving Nikon app SnapBridge allows the camera's firmware to be updated via a smart device.
Nikon Z 24-200mm f4.0-6.3 VR
With its wide Zoomrange of 24 to 200mm, nice bokeh, and fast autofocus, this telephoto zoom lens may be the only lens you need. It's lightweight, fits easily in smaller camera bags, shoots detailed stills and movies, and is intricately sealed against dust and moisture ingress.
Nikon FTZ Bayonet Adapter
The FTZ bayonet adapter lets you realize the full potential of your lenses with an F bayonet mount - whether for photography or videography. There is no loss of imaging performance whatsoever.
You can even achieve new levels of sharpness with NIKKOR lenses without image stabilizer (VR). You can use automatic exposure control with hundreds of F bayonet lenses. And F bayonet lenses with built-in AF drive retain full AF compatibility.
