The EOS R6 Mark II's IS detects more types of camera movement than other cameras. When shooting video, in-camera (IBIS) and optical IS of the lens are complemented by Movie Digital IS - for shots that look like they were professionally shot with a gimbal.

If the "Detection only" option of the EOS R6 Mark II is activated, the camera will not focus back on the background if the subject moves out of the frame. This feature is inspired by our Cinema EOS C70 camera and mimics the work of a professional focus puller to achieve cinematic results.

6K ProRes RAW

For maximum flexibility and image quality, you can record 6K ProRes RAW video to an external ATOMOS V+ recorder. The footage is easier to edit and offers a wider dynamic range. The extra resolution allows you to crop while maintaining 4K quality.

Don't be afraid of the dark

The EOS R6 Mark II's 24.2 megapixel sensor offers an ideal balance of speed, image quality and low-light capabilities. The ability to focus in darkness down to -6.5 EV1 (that's darker than the light of the half moon) is complemented by a maximum ISO sensitivity of 102,400 and an image stabilizer that is effective up to 8 stops of exposure (2).

Extended shutter speeds

Shoot with electronic shutter with shutter speeds from 1/16,000 sec. to 30 sec.

More shots, less thinking

With the standard LP-E6NH batteries, you can shoot around 50% longer. The EOS R6 Mark II is also compatible with any existing LP-E6 series batteries and the BG-R10 battery grip.

The RF bayonet and the practical retraction mechanism as well as image stabilization up to 8 exposure stops in combination with an EOS R series camera, which offers in-camera image stabilization. It is only approx. 92.2 mm long and weighs less than 500 g. The weather protection offers additional safety in adverse environmental conditions.

The powerful optical image stabilizer for 5.5 exposure levels* ensures steady hand-held shots - even with longer exposure times. UD and aspherical lenses ensure incredible sharpness.

The virtually silent STM drive ensures fast focusing when taking photos. It enables smooth focus transitions with focus breathing correction for video recordings, so that film projects can also be mastered effortlessly.
