Fujifilm GFX 100S II body
Compact system camera with large-format sensor
Large-format excellence redefined: Unrivaled image quality and versatility in a compact body.
The new 102 megapixel sensor combines with the X-Processor 5 for uncompromising image quality and exceptional performance.
The lightweight, weather-sealed body features built-in image stabilization and offers remarkable portability.
The photos created with the GFX100S II are characterized by a wide dynamic range with the finest tonal gradations and a vivid image effect, both of which are made possible by the unique properties of the large-format image sensor. The camera also features advanced object detection based on deep learning technology, whichhas evolved significantlyfrom its predecessor3.
With fast autofocus and continuous shooting at up to seven frames per second4, the GFX100S II captures dynamic subjects with precision. The integrated five-axis image stabilizer is the most advanced in the series and allows up to eight EV stops*5 longer exposure times. The camera is also suitable for high-quality video recording in 4K/30p quality.
The GFX100S II makes it easy for discerning photographers to get started with large-format photography. The outstanding image quality and the handy body make it a camera that is simply a pleasure to shoot with.
Large-format 102 megapixel sensor
The GFX100S II is equipped with the GFX 102MP CMOS II sensor and the powerful X-Processor 5, the combination of which enables unprecedented image quality. FUJIFILM used its decades of experience in the field of color reproduction in the development, and even the finest details are reproduced razor-sharp.
The sensor has a pixel structure that enables a higher saturation and thus a low standard sensitivity of ISO 80. In contrast to its predecessor, the GFX100S II offers a wider dynamic range and better noise performance.*6
The sensor's microlenses have been optimized to increase the light yield at the edges of the image. This results in increased imaging performance and more precise automatic focusing in the peripheral areas.
The GFX100S II offers a total of 20 film simulations, including "REALA ACE" for natural color reproduction and high-contrast tonality. Numerous image styles are thus available, which can be selected to suit the respective scene, similar to analog films
With the "Pixel Shift Multi-Shot" function, the camera takes 16 high-resolution RAW images in raw data format one after the other, whereby the image sensor is shifted by 0.5 pixels after each exposure. The resulting individual photos can be combined into a single image file with a resolution of up to 400 megapixels using the "Pixel Shift Combiner" software.
In "Real Color" mode, four RAW files are captured with a shift of one pixel per shot to produce a high-resolution 102-megapixel image with maximum naturalness in color reproduction. Compared to the previous model, the recording process is now four times faster and the amount of data required is four times smaller.
Integrated image stabilizer
The GFX100S II is equipped with an advanced image stabilizer. This uses the information supplied by the image sensor as well as highly sensitive gyro and acceleration sensors to compensate for the finest camera vibrations with maximum precision. Photographs can be taken with exposure times that are up to eight EV steps*5 longer.
The
GFX100S II is just as compact as its predecessor, measuring around 104 millimetres in height and 87 millimetres in depth. It weighs only around 883 grams, making it the lightest GFX camera with a 102-megapixel sensor. The housing has a coating of non-slip BISHAMON-TEX*7 and can be held securely in the hand even in unusual grip positions and for long periods of use.
High-speed AF and fast continuous shooting
An advanced AF algorithm not only ensures improved automatic focusing on the face and eyes, but also enables object detection autofocus based on deep learning technology. Thanks to the powerful artificial intelligence, animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, planes, trains, insects and drones*8 are recognized by the camera, automatically tracked and kept in focus. The photographer can
concentrate fully on the moment of the shot and the composition of the image
.
The advanced AF algorithm enables improved pre-calculation of subject movements. The camera focuses on dynamic and fast subjects even more reliably than its predecessor.
The faster readout speed of the GFX 102MP CMOS II sensor and an advanced shutter mechanism allow continuous shooting at up to seven frames per second. This enables unique snapshots of dynamic subjects.
The GFX100S II is equipped with a high-resolution viewfinder with 5.76 million pixels and 0.84x magnification. The optically corrected viewfinder image can be viewed comfortably from different eye positions.
4K video function
When recording video, the standard sensitivity ISO 100 is available for even higher image quality and a tracking AF for automatic tracking of a moving subject. The object to be tracked can be selected directly via the touchscreen during recording in "AF-C + Wide/Tracking" mode.
Videos can be recorded in 4K quality at 30 frames per second and saved with 4:2:2 10-bit color depth on the camera's internal SD card. If an external SSD9 isconnected to the camera via a USB Type-C cable, it is also possible to record in the Apple ProRes10 video codec.
The GFX100S II can record moving images in F-Log2 mode, which offers a dynamic range of more than 13 f-stops*11. The video material thus offers additional creative scope in post-production. External recorders for backing up or playing back video data can be connected via HDMI. For example, a sequence can be recorded in F-Log2 quality on the external storage medium while the video is monitored on an external monitor using a film simulation. The camera can therefore be integrated into individual recording setups in a variety of ways.
The GFX100S II supports the cloud service "Frame.io Camera to Cloud". Video and photo files can be uploaded directly to Frame. io. This significantly speeds up the workflow from shooting to editing.
Handgrip MHG-GFX S (optionally available)
The sturdy metal handgrip allows the camera to be held securely in the hand, even during long exposures or when using larger telephoto lenses. The handle also allows the camera to be quickly attached to a tripod
