Fujifilm GFX 50S II
The large-format 51.4-megapixel sensor of the GFX50S II is about 1.7 times larger than a full-frame sensor. Its CMOS Bayer color filter, developed specifically for this camera, delivers images with minimal noise and an incredibly wide dynamic range. Combined with G Mount lenses, the results are extraordinary. It has never been easier for photographers to capture images of this quality.
Weighing just 900 grams, the GFX50S II is compact enough for a city trip or a longer outdoor tour. No matter where you travel, its ergonomic grip keeps the camera secure in your hand, and the controls are easily accessible.
With the GFX50S II, FUJIFILM makes large format photography easier and more intuitive than ever. The top dial lets you select exposure programs (P, S, A, M). The most important settings can be read at any time on the LCD, even when the camera is turned off. The improved focus lever and soft shutter release point round out the photography experience. Whether you're already familiar with the GFX system or new to it, nothing stands between you and your subject.
For faster autofocus, the GFX50S II can double the sensor readout speed during focusing. At the same time, the autofocus system is supported by the built-in image stabilizer, which enables even faster and more precise focusing. A new algorithm, already used in the GFX100S and the latest X series cameras, also provides improved face and eye detection. This ensures excellent AF performance with any subject.
51.4-megapixel sensor for brilliant image quality
The FUJIFILM GFX50S II has a 51.4-megapixel image sensor that offers stunning resolution when combined with a GF Series lens. The camera features a special sensor design that uses microlenses, which have been reshaped and resized to allow greater distance between adjacent pixels and thus increased light capture per pixel. This results in higher overall image sharpness.
More light per pixel leads to improvements in ISO sensitivity, dynamic range, and tone reproduction. Drawing in highlights and shadows is preserved, and textures are reproduced with an almost three-dimensional feel. The specific mood of a scene can thus be faithfully captured in the image.
The large-format sensor also enables a very shallow depth of field with attractive background blur. Attention is directed specifically to the desired image area.
Wide range of film simulations
The GFX50S II offers 19 film simulations, including the new "Nostalgic Negative" image style, which was first available on the GFX100S released in spring 2021. Images captured with this feature high saturation and smooth tonal reproduction. As with the other film simulations, the effects can be assessed in the electronic viewfinder or on the rear display before shooting to adjust them individually if necessary.
Integrated five-axis image stabilization
The GFX50S II features a five-axis image stabilization system (IBIS) that provides an advantage of 6.5 EV steps*3 when shooting. This is the highest compensation of any GFX camera to date. A powerful duo of gyrometer and accelerometer responds to even the smallest movements, so precise stabilization of the image is achieved.
FUJIFILM thus revolutionizes photography with large format cameras. While conventional medium format cameras are usually used on a tripod and require deliberate, careful work, the GFX50S II with its built-in image stabilizer offers superior image quality even when shooting freehand.
Fast and accurate autofocus
The combination of a high-resolution image sensor, powerful image processor "X-Processor 4" and built-in image stabilization (IBIS), together with a new AF algorithm, enables exceptionally fast and precise autofocus. Even during AF contrast metering, the image stabilizer compensates for unwanted sensor movement, enabling reliable focusing in all shooting situations. This means that the perfect moment can be captured sharply in the image at all times.
The "X Processor 4" also ensures a very high AF update rate, enabling even more accurate face and eye detection compared to the previous model*4. With a large-format sensor and the associated shallow depth of field, this fast automatic focusing is particularly advantageous, as it allows expressive portraits to be captured even in dynamic situations, for example.
Compact, lightweight and weatherproof
The FUJIFILM GFX50S II weighs only 900 grams and with its dimensions of 15 cm x 10.4 cm x 8.7 cm (WxHxD) is surprisingly compact for a camera with a large format image sensor and integrated image stabilization. The advanced handgrip ensures optimally balanced handling and fatigue-free operation of the camera even when using longer telephoto focal lengths.
The robust magnesium housing is additionally reinforced around the bayonet mount to ensure the best possible stability when using larger and heavier lenses. It is protected against splash water and dust and can be used in low temperatures down to minus 10 degrees Celsius. Its handiness and ruggedness allow the new GFX50S II to be used in areas where conventional medium format cameras could hardly or not at all be used so far.
Familiar operating concept
The controls located on the top of the GFX50S II will be familiar to many users. The mode dial offers six custom settings (C1-C6) for immediate access to frequently used functions. Right next to it, a switch offers the ability to quickly switch between photo and video recording.
The focus lever is now slightly flatter, providing more comfort when working for extended periods. It also reacts more sensitively, so that an even more intuitive selection of the focus points is given.
The camera features a 4.5 cm (1.8 inch) secondary LC monitor on the top panel, which can be used to display important shooting settings (shutter speed, aperture, ISO and exposure compensation) as well as other relevant parameters, such as the remaining capacity of the memory card, as required.
The 8.1 cm (3.2 inch) LCD on the back of the camera offers one hundred percent field coverage. It can be rotated in three directions for shooting from positions near the ground or overhead, and for accurately framing images even without an electronic viewfinder.
"Pixel Shift Multi-Shot" for 200-megapixel shooting
The GFX50S II's "Pixel Shift Multi-Shot" function allows ultra-high resolution images to be captured at 200 megapixels. The images are characterized by a high level of detail and a natural color impression without false colors. This makes the GFX50S II the ideal camera for documentation work in museums and archives, as well as other photographic applications where maximum color and detail fidelity are required.
The Pixel Shift Multi-Shot function uses the camera's IBIS system to capture 16 high-resolution raw images in succession, shifting the image sensor by 0.5 pixels after each exposure. The resulting individual photos can be combined into a single image file with a resolution of up to 200 megapixels using the "Pixel Shift Combiner" software, and output losslessly as a raw file in digital negative format (DNG) for further processing. Due to their very high resolution, the images are characterized by impressive tonal value reproduction and vivid representation of textures.
The image sensor is shifted with maximum precision to ensure that each pixel records image information in the primary colors of red, green and blue. False colors are completely eliminated and the subject is displayed with maximum color fidelity. In this way, regular 51.4-megapixel images can also be created without false colors.

Fujifilm Fujinon GF45mm F2.8 R WR
With GF lenses, photographers can achieve the highest level of image quality and express their creativity like never before. They are designed specifically for the large image sensor of the GFX medium format system, which is 1.7 times larger than a 35mm sensor (full frame sensor). The optics guarantee very high resolution performance and excellent color reproduction. The result is photographs that capture the special atmosphere at the moment of shutter release in almost three-dimensional images.
High resolution performance
Like all GF lenses, the new GF 45mm F2.8 R WR achieves extremely high imaging performance, which will also meet the higher megapixel resolution of future camera generations. The optical construction includes eleven elements in eight groups, including an aspherical lens and two ED glass elements that effectively minimize optical aberrations. The focus group consists of six elements that move simultaneously when focusing, ensuring consistently high image quality at any shooting distance. Nano GI coating prevents flare and reflections inside the lens caused by oblique incident light.
Compact and lightweight design
Despite its high imaging performance, the GF 45mm F2.8 is surprisingly handy. It weighs only 490 grams and is very compact with dimensions of 84 x 88 mm (diameter x length).
Splash-proof and dust-proof
The new GF lens is optimally designed for the tough demands of everyday professional use and can even be used in bad weather without hesitation. The robust barrel is weather sealed at ten points, making the GF 45mm F2.8 insensitive to splash water and dust.
Intuitive operation
The aperture ring features a C position (command dial mode). When it is selected, the aperture value is adjusted via the control dial on the camera. To prevent unintentional adjustment of the aperture values, the ring can be locked in the A (Auto) and C positions.
