Fujifilm X-T5
The FUJIFILM X-T5 offers photographers a perfect total package: It features fifth-generation imaging technology - the rear-illuminated 40.2-megapixel X-Trans*1 CMOS 5 HR sensor and the fast X-Processor 5 - and offers built-in five-axis image stabilization over up to seven stops (EV)*2. Despite its tremendous performance, it is smaller and also lighter than its predecessor, weighing just 557 grams.*3
Like previous models in the X-T line, the X-T5 features a center-mounted electronic viewfinder and several large command dials. Inside, it offers a host of technical innovations, including a standard sensitivity of ISO 125, a fastest shutter speed of 1/180,000 sec, the "Pixel Shift Multi-Shot" function, and Scene Recognition AF based on Deep Learning technology that identifies and tracks various subjects (such as animals or vehicles).
Videos are recorded by the X-T5 in up to 6.2K/30p quality
. Thehigh-resolution foldable touchscreen monitor and dual memory card slot round out the new camera's features.
TheX-T5 is the ideal tool for demanding photographers who travel a lot and don't want to compromise on image quality
. It isas handy as it is versatile, and is ideal for fast reportage and street photography as well as high-quality landscape and portrait photography
.High-resolution X-Trans CMOS 5 HR Sensor and X-Processor 5
TheX-T5 is equipped with a rear-exposed 40.2-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor that delivers very high resolution without distracting image noise, resulting in overall brilliant image quality
.An advanced pixel structure results in a greater amount of light on the sensor, so that ISO 125 is now available as the standard sensitivity and no longer needs to be selected via the extended ISO range. The
new sensor can also be driven with extreme precision, allowing ultra-short exposure times
.
For example, the fastest shutter speed of the electronic shutter has been increased by 2.5 EV steps from 1/32,000 sec. to now 1/180,000 sec.
The new sensor opens up new creative possibilities, especially when shooting in bright environments
. Forexample, on sunny summer days or on the ski slopes, you can achieve the attractive bokeh effect with the aperture open, or freeze fast movements in maximum sharpness with ultra-fast shutter speeds
.Innovative photo functions
With the "Pixel Shift Multi-Shot" function, the camera takes 20 high-resolution images in succession in raw data format, with the image sensor being shifted minimally after each exposure. The resulting individual photos can be combined into a single image file with a resolution of 160 megapixels using the free "Pixel Shift Combiner" software. This function is particularly interesting for photographic documentation and digitization in the fields of art and culture, as well as for high-quality still life and product shots. The
camera features the "Skin Effect Soft" function for particularly attractive reproduction of skin tones. Post-processing time for portrait shots is significantly reduced, so high-quality image results are available faster than ever. The
X-T5 is equipped with automatic white balance based on Deep Learning technology. The camera more accurately detects different light sources (such as incandescent lamps) and adjusts white balance accordingly.
TheX-T5 offers 19 film simulations, including "Nostalgic Negative" for high color saturation and smooth tonal gradations. It supports the HEIF image format, which delivers 10-bit image files that are up to 30 percent smaller than standard JPEG files.
With theinclusion of this feature, FUJIFILM underscores its reputation for delivering the very highest quality images directly from X Series cameras
.Built-in Image Stabilizer and Intelligent Autofocus
In-camera five-axis image stabilization (IBIS) compensates for camera movement over up to seven stops (EV)*2. Even at night, at dusk, or in other low-light situations, freehand shooting is possible. The IBIS mechanism simultaneously enables the "Pixel Shift Multi-Shot" function via high-precision shifting of the image sensor.
TheX-T5 is equipped with an innovative autofocus system that allows the person taking the picture to focus entirely on the subject and composition. She can trust the camera to focus reliably and precisely on the subject. For example, the X-T5's autofocus system offers object-oriented subject recognition based on artificial intelligence. Developed using Deep Learning technology, the algorithm not only detects and tracks people's faces and eyes, but also reliably keeps animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes and trains in focus.
The 40.2-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR has more phase-detection pixels than previous X-series image sensors, resulting in even more precise focusing in AF-S mode, for example in landscape or portrait photography. A new AF algorithm for predicting object movement enables even more reliable focus tracking in continuous focus (AF-C)
.Convenient operation
There arethree dials on the top of the X-T5 for shutter speed, ISO sensitivity and exposure compensation. Like the aperture ring on many XF lenses, they allow control of key exposure parameters even when the camera is off. The X-T5 thus becomes the ideal tool for transferring one's creative intuition directly into the image production process. The
new LCD monitor offers a resolution of 1.84 million pixels and can be swiveled in three directions
.
When shooting from the hip or overhead, for example, the display remains in the optical axis and is always easy to read, allowing comfortable and unrestricted work even in demanding shooting situations. The
electronic viewfinder of the X-T5 offers a high-resolution viewfinder image with 3.69 million pixels and 0.8x magnification
.
The image is optimally corrected and free of parallax errors and distortion that otherwise often appear with changes in eye position. The
advancement of the IBIS mechanism, electronic viewfinder and other components allows for a compact and lightweight design
.
Despite its performance, the camera weighs just 557 grams*4. In addition, handling has been optimized and the operability of the dials and buttons has been improved. The weatherproof body can be used in wet and dirty environments without hesitation
.Advanced video capabilities
The X-T5 records video in 6.2K/30p 4:2:2 10-bit format. In 4K HQ mode, the camera draws on the detail of the 6.2K data during internal oversampling to generate a 4K image of superior quality. The X-T5 supports F-Log2, which provides an expanded dynamic range of more than 13 stops, offering further creative potential in video editing.
When combined with a compatible Atomos external HDMI recorder, 12-bit RAW video files can also be recorded and saved as Apple ProRes RAW*5 in 6.2K at frame rates up to 29.97 frames per second. When used with the Blackmagic Design Video Assist 12G series monitor recorders, raw video files can be saved as Blackmagic RAW in up to 6.2K quality and 29.97 frames per second

Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 DC DN © for Fuji X
High speed of F2.8 and superior image quality
The SIGMA 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary covers the focal length range between 27 and 75mm (equivalent to 35mm format) - and it does so with a consistent F2.8 aperture, making it ideal when you want to crop the subject for portraits and close-ups against a blurred background that won't distract from the subject in focus due to the attractive, soft bokeh
.With three high-precision, bright-molded aspheres and a reduction in the number of optical elements overall, the lens achieves superior image quality at a low weight. In-camera optical noise correction further helps eliminate aberrations such as distortion and vignetting. This performance is made possible by advanced lens development technology at SIGMA's sole manufacturing facility in Aizu, Japan, where all SIGMA lenses are produced.
With three high-precision, blank-pressed aspheres and a reduction in the number of optical elements overall, the lens achieves superior image quality at low weight. In-camera optical noise correction further helps eliminate aberrations such as distortion and vignetting. This performance is made possible by advanced lens development technology at SIGMA's sole manufacturing facility in Aizu, Japan, where all SIGMA lenses are produced.
To keep weight down, SIGMA has constructed the lens using specially selected materials
.
The lens barrel is made of TSC (Thermally-Stable-Composite) polycarbonate, which is slim and robust and, most importantly, has a thermal conductivity similar to that of aluminum. This ensures high reliability and smooth operation under changing temperatures. For some internal components, SIGMA made a conscious decision to use metal, as these parts require less material while offering greater strength.
As a
result, the lens is designed to withstand more intensive use

.Suitable for a wide range of shooting situations.
The SIGMA 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary has a fast and nearly silent autofocus that makes it recommended for a wide range of photographic applications, including shooting in quiet environments and capturing video and photos that require fast focus tracking. This is achieved by using a stepper motor to drive the focus. Because the lens is small and lightweight, it can be used very flexibly in situations that require high mobility, or when shooting from hard-to-reach shooting positions, gimbal shooting, one-man video recording, and vlogging.
A wide range of uses was a priority in the development of the lens, and SIGMA has chosen a design with a closest focusing distance of 12.1cm and a maximum magnification of f/2.8**, making it ideal for close-up shooting
.Together with the extremely compact full-frame SIGMA fp camera, this results in a total weight of just 712g - so the lens can also serve as a "back-up" on a full-frame camera in crop mode, for example, if the weight of the equipment needs to be minimized.
The 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary, which combines compact dimensions, a low weight, high performance and a great speed, copes with a variety of tasks primarily with mirrorless entry-level models both in photography and video recording, but also with full-frame cameras
.The specifications for magnification and closest focusing distance apply to the shortest focal length.
