HASSELBLAD 907X 50C
The CFV II 50C digital back and 907X camera body combine Hasselblad photographic history into one system. Bridge the past to the present with the modernized CFV II 50C, adaptable to a classic Hasselblad V-System camera. Pair the CFV II 50C with the 907X for an all-new combination that allows shooting with a wide range of Hasselblad optics, from the V system to our modern XCD lenses.
Build your own system
The CFV II 50C Digital back can be combined with most Hasselblad V System cameras 1957 and later, as well as technical cameras, making it easy to switch from analog to digital shooting
When paired with the 907X camera body, the photographer gains access to the entire XCD lens lineup and offers autofocus and automatic exposure.
Classic Design
The CFV II 50C represents the design heritage of Hasselblad with its timeless look that features a similar form factor, leatherette upholstery and chrome edges as the original V System film magazines
Pairing the digital back with Hasselblad's smallest medium format camera ever, the 907X, creates a very slim, compact package.
Tilt. Touch. Press.Wipe.
The CFV II 50C's advanced high-resolution tilt screen features an intuitive touch interface with wipe and finger-spread-to-Zoom options when browsing images.
A high frame rate of 60 fps enables smooth live viewing via the digital display. Improved live view, including focus peaking, enables more accurate focusing, which is especially beneficial for manually focused V-system cameras.
See the world from different angles
The combination of the CFV II 50C digital back and 907X camera body offers a truly unique photographic experience, including the classic waist-level shooting style of the V-System
Photographers shooting with the CFV II 50C on a V-System camera have the flexibility to compose using either the built-in optical viewfinder or the tilt screen of the digital back.
Connected in the studio or on the go
The CFV II 50C is supported by Phocus software from Hasselblad that enables the best in post-production, including lens corrections for most V-system lenses
A USB-C port allows seamless connection to your computer, iPad or iPhone, and built-in Wi-Fi to your iPad or iPhone, providing a smooth photographic workflow with wireless or tethered image export and tethered shooting.
Note: Please note that the lens shown in the images is not included.
HASSELBLAD XCD 90mm f2.5 II
The focal length of the XCD 90mm f2.5 II combined with a large f2.5 aperture creates a beautiful soft bokeh effect that highlights the subject. When using the XCD 2.5/90 II lens with a small aperture, the leaf shutter can produce the 8-point starburst effect typical of Hasselblad in bright light sources. With its compact optical design, small and lightweight focus module, and optimized leaf shutter, the XCD 2.5/90 II weighs only 551 g, 11% lighter than the XCD 3.2/90.
Precise optics, outstanding images
Capturing the finest nuances of light and shadow starts with the lens. Only with excellent resolution and color reproduction can it provide a solid foundation for imaging. A medium format sensor has a large surface area and a high pixel density, which places high demands on the precision of the lens. Starting with the selection of high-quality glass, Hasselblad engineers carefully grind each lens to perfect its optical quality and meet the resolution requirements of 100 million pixels.
The XCD 2.5/90 II lens features nine elements in six groups, including an ED glass element and a specially manufactured large-diameter aspherical element. With a thoughtful arrangement, the lens not only has a compact size, but is also capable of delivering an apochromatic effect for accurate color correction. Combining the XCD 2.5/90 II with a Hasselblad medium format mirrorless camera delivers impressive results.
New Focus Module: Fast, Light, Precise
The improved focus module uses a linear stepper motor and a lighter, smaller lens group for focusing. These changes eliminate any lag caused by lens group movement and, together with the X2D 100C's PDAF technology, mean that the focus position can be reached quickly and a precise stop can be achieved. The result is fast, flexible and accurate focusing.
Small Central Shutter, Big Help
The central shutter is a powerful component in Hasselblad's medium format system. The XCD 2.5/90 II lens features an improved large aperture central shutter. While smaller in size, it retains the same precision performance as its predecessors, and is fast and quiet to prevent interference when shooting.
It also shootsat up to 1/4000s, making it the fastest of the medium format lenses,[1] and delivers flash sync at all speeds.
A familiar yet new aesthetic
The XCD 2.5/90 II is a precision-machined metal lens with a focus ring and a newly added control ring. Both rings are finely engraved with a Hasselblad "H" logo. The design is created with a precision 0.3mm mill and is a nod to the memorable look of the HC/HCD lenses. Whether paired with the X System or 907X cameras, this new lens is both a tribute to the past and a unique, elegant statement.
Comfortable and intuitive controls
The lens is designed to feel comfortable and intuitive in the hand to fully support the creative process, not distract from it. The tactile mechanics of the focus ring and control ring are fine-tuned for a smooth and sensual experience. A simple push and pull of the focus ring switches from AF to MF mode, and the intuitive scale markings let you instantly see focus distance and depth of field at a glance. The control ring can be customized for quick access to preferred functions, making shooting more convenient and efficient.
