Ready for action

No matter what angle you're shooting from, the movie recording button on the top of the camera body is always right where you need it. A clear red frame around the monitor confirms you're in movie mode. A red light on the front confirms you're recording.

Customizable Controls

You have many ways to customize the controls and make adjustments. The immediately accessible i-Menu lets you assign your favorite menu options. You can assign frequently used settings to the Fn buttons - or to custom settings U1/U2/U3, which you can then access via the function dial.

This extra-compact lens has a Zoomrange that's ideal for everything from first-person vlogging to interviews. When recording with an external microphone, the lens' near-silent AF ensures there's no annoying focusing noise.

Rode VideoMic GO II

Ultra-light, compact and versatile condenser directional microphone. The VideoMic GO II can be operated on cameras and sound fishing rods, on Mac and PC as well as on smartphones and iPhones. Operation is as simple as can be: no battery, no controls, pure plug & play. With its supercardioid polar pattern, the VideoMic GO II focuses on signals from the front at a narrow angle (approx. 45°); lateral sound sources are hardly taken into account.

The sound quality is first-class - the VideoMic GO II delivers crystal-clear, completely colorless sound and has minimal self-noise at 15 dBA. The red Rycote swing mount has a flash foot for camera mounting and a 3/8" thread to also mount the mic to a tripod or boom. Audio connection to the camera is via the included 3.5mm TRS cable, and a foam windscreen is also included.

24-bit/48 kHz audio interface is built into the VideoMic GO II. You can digitally connect the microphone to your Mac, PC, smartphone or iPhone via the USB-C jack on the side and a suitable cable (SC15, SC16, SC18). The 3.5 mm jack on the microphone serves as a stereo headphone output in this case. Like the NT-USB Mini, Wireless GO II and VideoMic NTG, the VideoMic GO II is also compatible with the free apps Rode Connect, Rode Central and Rode Reporter. Through Rode Connect, you can use the VideoMic GO II's built-in DSP (compressor, noise gate, Aphex Exciter, and Aphex Big Bottom).

This mini tripod from Manfrotto is ideal for entry-level DSLRs and equipment weighing up to 2.5 kg. The Pixi EVO has two leg adjustment angles for optimal stability. For portrait shots, the camera can be tilted by 90°. Thanks to the sturdy aluminum and Adapto construction, the tripod is particularly reliable.
