The Z8 is equipped with a multi-layer (stacked) CMOS sensor and the EXPEED 7 processor, which are also used in the Z9. This guarantees outstanding image quality straight from the camera that meets the highest professional standards.
Flexibility for every workflow
Thanks to its outstanding image quality, the Nikon Z8 offers creatives maximum flexibility to adapt to any
workflow, witha wide range of frame rates and codecs available to capture movies. These include in-camera 12-bit RAW for movies at up to 8.3K/60p or 4.1K/120p. Photographers can choose from a range of file formats and continuous shooting speeds, including an astonishing 120 frames per second. There are further options for creating HDR content. The camera can shoot 10-bit HEIF photos and 10-bit HLG movies in addition to raw files
.Despite the smaller and lighter body, the reliability of the Nikon Z8 is retained. The camera is equipped with professional weather sealing and has the same cold tolerance as Nikon's top models, the D6 and Z9, ensuring reliable performance even in low temperatures.

Users can record 12-bit RAW footage in-camera and choose to work with the professional Apple ProRes RAW HQ codec (up to 4.1k 60p) or the highly efficient N-RAW codec from Nikon (up to 8.3k/60p), which requires half the memory in comparison.

The 28-75mm F2.8 G2 is a compact and easy-to-use lens with outstanding optical performance. It is specially designed for modern digital cameras with ever higher pixel resolution. The autofocus works with a VXD linear motor (Voice coil eXtreme torque Drive), which is fast, highly precise and quiet. Best image quality in the standard Zoom lens class
The 28-75mm F2.8 G2 for Nikon Z uses the latest design know-how and has an optical design with 17 elements in 15 groups. Two optimally arranged LD (Low Dispersion) and GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements reduce optical aberrations to a minimum. The lens offers high resolution from edge to edge and corner to corner over the entire Zoom range, even with the aperture wide open. In addition, the soft, beautiful and rounded bokeh that can be achieved with a wide aperture lens adds a special dimension to portraits in particular. The overall compact size and high performance can be used to advantage with high-quality mirrorless cameras with very high resolution.
Fast, quiet VXD linear motor for high-precision autofocus
The AF drive system uses the VXD linear motor focusing mechanism from Tamron. The fast and high-precision autofocus is extremely responsive and offers reliable and precise focusing from the closest focusing distance to infinity despite the high speed of F2.8. The lens offers excellent focus tracking for moving objects, so that you are always ready for fast action.

The 28-75mm F2.8 G2 is a fast standard zoom lens with a remarkably compact and lightweight design measuring just 119.8 mm in length. The maximum diameter is 75.8 mm and the weight is only 550 g. The filter size is 67 mm. MOD of 0.18m in the wide-angle range and a maximum magnification factor of 1:2.7 for creative close-ups
The 28-75mm F2.8 G2 has a close focusing distance of 0.18m. The distance to the subject is reduced to only approx. 4.4 cm when the close-up focusing distance is fully utilized. The maximum magnification of 1:2.7 makes it possible to get very close to the subject, as in macro photography, which creates a strong visual effect as the subject is positioned large in the image while the background remains widely visible.
The Tamron Lens Utility™ expands the possibilities of photo and video shooting
The 28-75mm F2.8 G2 is compatible with the Tamron Lens Utility software specially developed by Tamron, which allows the user to easily update the lens to the latest firmware without having to use the camera. By utilizing a variety of functions, users can enhance the expressiveness of their photos and videos. With A-B focus, for example, the user can program the focus to pre-selected points and switch from one subject to another with a click of the focus button. Users can also choose between linear and non-linear, which affects the way the focus moves during manual focusing

Every part of the lens has been thought through down to the smallest detail. The result is an improved design that optimizes both operability and ergonomics. The outer surface of the lens barrel is glossy black. The improved abrasion resistance makes the lens barrel more scratch-resistant and less sensitive to fingerprints.
