Panasonic Lumix DMC-G81
The LUMIX DMC-G81 impresses with a variety of advanced technologies and practical features in a robust and compact body.
With the latest cutting-edge technology such as sensor without low-pass filter, Dual I.S. image stabilizer, DFD contrast autofocus, high-resolution 4K photo/video as well as movable touchscreen LCD monitor and large OLED viewfinder, the G81 scores with many detail improvements.
The robust housing with a magnesium alloy front frame and numerous direct-access controls is comfortable to use and splash- & dust-proof.
In addition to 4K videos, the 4K photo function can also record motion sequences and action scenes at 30 fps and 8 MP resolution. With the Post Focus function, the optimally focused photo can be selected from a series of images with different focus. The Focus Stacking function allows to generate a partial or front-to-back sharp photo from multiple frames.
The 5-axis Dual I.S. image stabilizer works even more effectively thanks to a new motion sensor and improved computing algorithms. It can compensate for camera shake up to 5 EV levels.
The 16-megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor without low-pass filter, together with the new, specially tuned Venus Engine image processor, promises stunning image quality. With the mechanical shutter, an electromagnetic drive reduces vibration and noise. With silent electronic shutter, the fastest shutter speed is 1/16,000s.
Image control is via a large OLED viewfinder with 2.4 million pixels.
Panasonic Lumix G Vario 12-60mm / F3.5-5.6 Asph./Power O.I.S (H-FS12060E).
The LUMIX G VARIO 12-60mm consists of 11 lenses in 9 groups. Three aspherical elements and one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens allow for a compact design without compromising quality, while minimizing distortion and chromatic aberration.
With its focal length of 24-120mm (KB), the lens is equally suitable for portraits and landscape photography.
Typical of LUMIX, the Power O.I.S. image stabilizer ensures blur-free handheld or low-light shooting. It is also compatible with the GX8's body stabilizer. The dual stabilization (Dual IS) enables even more effective compensation of camera shake.
A fast signal transfer rate of up to 240B/s ensures the fastest response times, especially in combination with the Hybrid Contrast AF of the current LUMIX G cameras. Focusing is achieved via a precise and quiet internal focusing system, driven by a stepper motor.
The LUMIX G VARIO 12-60mm/3.5-5.6 is equipped with a solid metal bayonet. Multi-coating of the lens elements ensures high-contrast image reproduction and minimizes reflections or ghosting.
Dust and splash protection make it the ideal companion for the LUMIX GH4 or GX8, even in inhospitable conditions.
Panasonic Lumix G Vario 100-300mm f4.0-5.6 II OIS
The Lumix G F4-5.6/ 100-300mm super telephoto lens is one of the smallest and lightest in its class. The Zoom of the MicroFourThirds lens, which is only 12.6 cm long (front lens to bayonet) and weighs around 520 g, covers the telephoto range between 100 and 300 mm (200-600 mm corresponding to 35 mm format) and is designed for extreme telephoto, such as sports or wildlife photography. Its construction of 17 lens elements in 12 groups includes an ED element in the first lens group for perfect image contrast and color reproduction.
The continuous close-up limit is 150 centimeters. Of course, it is equipped with Panasonic's proven optical image stabilizer (OIS), enabling maximum sharpness even at the longest focal lengths and when shooting at slower shutter speeds, without the need to use a tripod right away. Seven blades form a circular aperture that allows for beautifully even blurring of subject details outside the depth-of-field range at wide apertures.
The metal bayonet ensures high robustness. Sophisticated multi-coating of the lens elements effectively reduces ghosting and fogging and provides crisp contrast at all aperture and focal length settings. The lens also supports face detection and contrast AF. The smallest aperture has a speed of F22, and the filter diameter is 67 mm.
