Fast and quiet autofocus - with special features for video recordings

The autofocus works quickly, precisely and quietly thanks to the built-in linear STM (stepper motor). It therefore meets the highest requirements for accuracy, both for photo and video recordings.

With the " Par-Focal " function, the focus remains on the focused subject when zooming in and out. The focal length can be changed during video recording without having to refocus.

The " Cinematic Video AF " regulates the AF speed during filming so that fluctuations are reduced and a smooth and harmonious recording is achieved.

The torque of the focus ring, the " linear MF Control ", is based on that of a manual video lens, which enables the familiar handling of manual focusing when shooting video.
