The full-frame SIGMA 16-28mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary lens combines outstanding image quality and a large constant aperture of F2.8 with a robust yet lightweight construction. It thus opens up new scope for Sony e-mount photographers who expect professional results from a compact product. Thanks to excellently corrected field curvature, the 16-28mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary images sharply right to the corners of the frame, which is crucial for many wide-angle applications.

Five FLD lenses and four aspheres ensure optimal image quality with a minimum of aberrations. An internal zoom mechanism ensures that the length of the lens remains the same over the entire focal length range and that it is always well balanced in the hand. The fact that the center of gravity hardly shifts when Zooming is also an advantage for mounting in a gimbal. A thread at the front simplifies the use of filters.
