Sony Alpha ILCE-7 II Body
The Sony α7 II (ILCE-7M2) is the first full-frame camera with internal five-axis image stabilization, and the focus is much faster and more accurate compared to the α7. A lot has also been done in the video area with this camera.
The α7 is known for its excellent image quality anyway. Now, some exciting features have been added. First and foremost, image stabilization will make the hearts of photo fans beat faster. The α7 II's 24.3-megapixel Exmor CMOS full-frame sensor is embedded in a five-axis image stabilizer. The new technology, which absorbs vibrations in all directions, enables significantly slower shutter speeds. The image stabilizer can compensate for up to 4.5 f-stops. The special extra: it naturally also demonstrates its capabilities with lenses that are connected to the camera via an adapter.
Five-axis image stabilizer for blur-free photos
No matter how gently you press the shutter button, every camera inevitably moves by a few millimeters at the decisive moment. In difficult ambient light or when the sun sets and exposure times become longer, this is all the more critical. Good thing that the new image stabilizer inside the α7 II can compensate for almost all movements. It stabilizes movements to the front, back, right and left and can also compensate for circular movements.
The practical thing about the new image stabilizer is that it compensates for all movements, even if the lens has its own stabilizer. This is especially the case with E-mount lenses with Optical SteadyShot (OSS). Here, both image stabilizations are combined. With third-party lenses or lenses from the Sony A-mount family, the new stabilizer takes effect 100 percent anyway.
Faster & more precise: the new Fast Hybrid Autofocus
No detail escapes the 117 phase and 25 contrast autofocus points directly on the sensor. They wait on the entire sensor surface from the center to the edge for suitable subjects to focus on. And they do this particularly quickly and precisely. The focus calculation algorithm has been improved once again, making focusing around 30 percent faster than with the α7. At the same time, the camera's ability to predict the movement of objects in front of the lens has also improved significantly. Autofocus and exposure compensation are tracked more quickly, so that soccer, child or other things. are always in focus and optimally exposed in the scene. Once captured, motifs always remain in focus thanks to "Lock-on AF".
A great photo and video specialist
The heart of the camera is a 24.3-megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor. Light-sensitive and high-resolution, it is perfectly suited for top-quality shots. The BIONZ X processor takes care of the further processing of the images.
In addition to recording in AVCHD Ver. 2.0 Full HD (1920x1080) 60p, (50p)/60i or (50i)/24p, the α7 II also handles XAVC-S format. This guarantees Full HD videos with bit rates of up to 50 megabits per second. In addition, the α7 II can handle video codecs like MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 in its sleep.
WiFi & networking with mobile devices
Of course, the camera gets along great with smartphones and tablets via WiFi and NFC. It also offers access to PlayMemories Camera Apps, which can make photography easier for beginners and pros alike.
Sony Vario-Tessar T* SEL FE 24-70mm f4 ZA OSS.
The full-frame standard zoom for the E bayonet further increases flexibility for ambitious photographers. Portraits, landscape shots or simply everyday use in all situations: the SEL-2470Z combines an attractive Zoomrange with a continuous speed of F4.
The "Optical Steady Shot" optical image stabilization significantly reduces the risk of camera shake even at longer exposure times. The construction of the lens provides for five aspherical elements with one ED Glass element. The Carl Zeiss T coating on the optical surfaces minimizes reflections and significantly raises contrast. Like its siblings, the standard lens is protected against dust and splashing water.
35mm quality in a compact Zoom lens - Paired with a 35mm E-mount camera, this compact Zoom lens lets you capture crisp, detailed images.
Discover more possibilities - A versatile 24-70 mm Zoom range allows for a wealth of shooting options, from intimate portraits to spectacular landscape shots.
No ghost effects - The Carl Zeiss T anti-reflective coating on the lens surface reduces light reflection and ghosting for clear, high-contrast images.
Improved optical performance - Five aspherical elements and an extra-low dispersion (ED) glass lens reduce distortion and aberrations.
Constant F4 aperture - A constant F4 aperture provides consistent exposure throughout the focal length without the need to increase ISO settings.
Sharp handheld shooting - Optical SteadyShot compensates for handheld camera shake for blur- and noise-free results.
Built to last - For shooting in harsh weather conditions, critical areas of the lens body are sealed against dust and moisture.
Smooth blur effects - A circular aperture with 7 blades creates natural blur or bokeh effects.
