The 399 phase autofocus points cover about 68 percent of the sensor. In addition, there are 425 contrast autofocus points. Even the eye autofocus is now twice as effective as before. The 5-axis optical image stabilizer gives photographers 5.5 more stops of latitude. Videographers will be pleased with 4K videos with full pixel readout and no pixel binning.

Professionals will appreciate the two SD card slots, longer battery life, and superspeed USB port (USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type C). The camera itself is small and compact.

Focus breathing and Zoom shift have been reduced to an absolute minimum. Aspherical elements and advanced multi-coating technology provide effective aberration suppression. Low-noise operation is another priority. That's why the SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor) drive system ensures accurate and quiet Zoom movements. This E-mount lens has independent control rings for Zoom, focus and iris opening with mechanical steps. Built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization technology further enhances the performance of this exceptional lens, which supports a constant 1:4.
