With an extremely high-resolution, rear-illuminated 43.6 megapixel Exmor R CMOS full-frame sensor, ten frames per second, and extra-fast autofocus, the α7R IIIA is ahead of its predecessor. The 399 phase autofocus points cover about 68 percent of the sensor. In addition, there are 425 contrast autofocus points. Even the eye autofocus is now twice as effective as before. The 5-axis optical image stabilizer gives photographers 5.5 more stops of latitude. Videographers will be pleased with 4K videos with full pixel readout and no pixel binning.

Professionals will appreciate the two SD card slots, longer battery life, and superspeed USB port (USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type C). The camera itself is small and compact.

Uniform positioning of the aperture/focus ring makes changing lenses quick and easy - the uniform weight distribution also means gimbals don't need to be recalibrated and shooting can go straight

on.

The compact size of 73 x 70 mm and the low weight of 280g make handling the lenses simple and easy.

Integrated Tally Lamp

On the front as well as on the left side of the lens, small lights indicate if recording is in progress, which ensures an undisturbed video shoot. Once recording starts on the camera, the lights automatically change from green to red, signaling to everyone on set, both in front of and behind the camera, that recording is in progress.

8K Support & Color Tone

The new V-AF series supports resolutions up to 8K - all in a small and lightweight format that is well suited for use with gimbals and drones, as well as for vlogging and shooting on the go. The lenses of all the lenses in the new V-AF series are color-matched to prevent color shifts when changing lenses. In addition, the nine aperture blades provide natural bokeh.

Custom Switch & Focus Hold Button

The V-AF lenses are equipped with the Samyang lenses, such as the Custom Switch and the Focus Hold Button. The assignment of the Custom Switch as well as firmware updates can be quickly and easily imported via the Samyang Lens Station.
