The 399 phase autofocus points cover about 68 percent of the sensor. In addition, there are 425 contrast autofocus points. Even the eye autofocus is now twice as effective as before. The 5-axis optical image stabilizer gives photographers 5.5 more stops of latitude. Videographers will be pleased with 4K videos with full pixel readout and no pixel binning.

Focus hold button, focus adjustment switch, Zoomring, focus ring and other controls are conveniently positioned. If required, additional functions can be assigned to the focus hold button via the camera menu settings. The fluorine coating of the front lens element and the dust- and splash-proof design ensure maximum reliability even under demanding conditions.
