This is around 1.6 times the resolution of the electronic viewfinder of the Alpha 7R III, meaning that this new viewfinder reproduces every motif ultra-accurately and true to life. A standard or high display quality and a refresh rate of 60 or 120 frames per second can be set for optimum adaptation to the subject and shooting conditions. In
addition, the Pixel Shift Multi Shooting mode has been further developed for the new camera, which composes up to 16 images in full resolution. In this mode, the camera precisely shifts the sensor in 1 or 0.5 pixel increments to create 16 individual images with different pixel counts and a total of 963.2 million pixels. These are then combined in the [Imaging Edge] desktop application to create an image with 240.8 million pixels (19,008 x 12,672 pixels). This optimized mode is ideal for architectural photography, fine art photography and all other static subjects and produces images with highly impressive detail and color accuracy.
Shooting and focusing speed
The innovative new Alpha 7R IVA full-frame mirrorless camera can shoot at up to 10 frames per second with consistently accurate AF/AE tracking for approximately 7 seconds - each at full resolution - in full-frame 61 MP (JPEG/RAW) or approximately 3x as long in APS-C sized 26.2 MP mode. These high-speed options also capture fast-moving subjects ultra-accurately and with impressive detail.
The Alpha 7R IVA's advanced focusing system includes 567 AF phase detection points, covering around 74% of the image area, and 425 AF contrast points for added accuracy and reliability in low light and other shooting situations where contrast AF is ideal. The new camera's higher AF sensor density and revised tracking algorithms significantly improve tracking performance, so that even complex or sudden subject movements are now tracked more reliably and accurately than ever before.
The Alpha 7R IVA also supports Real-Time AF with Eye Detection, which uses artificial intelligence to detect and process eye position in real time, providing ultra-precise focus on the subject's eye throughout. This function is available for people and animals. Depending on the shooting situation, you can choose between AF with animal or human eye detection. A real-time tracking function is also available, which uses a newly developed subject recognition algorithm to ensure even more precise subject tracking and permanent focusing system tracking. The anti-flicker shooting mode automatically detects neon light and artificial lighting and minimizes the corresponding effects on the final image.

Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 DG DN (A) Sony-E
The second Art Zoom lens, which has been specially developed for mirrorless cameras.
Outstanding results can be achieved with a fast Zoom lens. With this conviction, SIGMA developed the 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN Art, the first Art Zoom lens specially designed for mirrorless cameras and characterized by extremely high resolution.
The experience in developing lenses for mirrorless cameras has successfully reduced the size and weight of the lens, while achieving a homogeneous and high resolution over the entire focal length range from the center of the image to the edges. In addition, compatibility with the latest mirrorless cameras and their functions allows the lens to be used in a wide range of applications, meeting the high demands of professional photographers and ambitious amateur photographers alike.
Following the 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN, the 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art is the flagship of the new generation of Art Zoom lenses and the ultimate standard Zoom lens with a large aperture.
Best optical performance in its class
The F2.8 Art product line with its flagship Zoom lenses was primarily developed to achieve outstanding optical performance.
As particularly low dispersion glass, six FLD ("F" Low Dispersion) glass elements and two SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements are used in this lens, taking advantage of an optical design for mirrorless camera lenses. Thanks to the use of three aspherical lenses, this lens effectively reduces aberrations such as longitudinal chromatic aberration or sagittal coma, which are difficult to correct in post-processing. It also delivers homogeneous and outstanding resolution over the entire focal length range from the center of the image to the edges.
Compatible with the latest full-frame mirrorless cameras
The SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art is compatible with various models of the latest full-frame mirrorless cameras with L-mount and Sony E-mount compatible. This enables professional photographers and ambitious amateur photographers alike to achieve top performance in a wide range of photographic applications.
For example, the AFL button can be assigned different functions via the camera menu, which improves operability when taking pictures. The use of a stepper motor with the latest algorithm achieves a balanced ratio between acceleration and smoothness of the AF drive. This enables stress-free focusing. In addition, this lens is compatible with the eye-detection AF often used in mirrorless cameras, which enables extremely precise focusing in portrait photography. The Zoom lock mechanism prevents unintentional extension of the lens barrel. An AF/MF switch, which many other SIGMA lenses also have, is also available.
Design that eliminates reflections and ghost images
From the very beginning of the lens design process, susceptibility to reflections and ghosting is studied to achieve an optical design that is resistant to even strong backlighting. The Super Multi-Layer Coating (SML) reduces flare and ghosting and delivers sharp, high-contrast images, even in backlit conditions.
Nano Porous Coating is used in addition to the Super Multi-Layer Coating. In terms of coating, the lens is designed to be less affected by strong incidence of light, such as reflections.
Close focusing distance of 18-38 cm
The closest focusing distance in the wide-angle range is 18 cm. This allows you to get closer to the subject when taking photos than the lens hood allows. The largest reproduction scale is 1:2.9 in the wide-angle range and 1:4.5 in the telephoto range, which allows a greater variety of expressive possibilities for close-ups.
Round aperture
The almost circular aperture consists of 11 aperture blades** and ensures a very pleasant bokeh outside the focal plane of the image.
Dust and splash protection
Thanks to its dust and splash-proof construction, the lens is suitable for a wide range of applications and environments.
Brass bayonet
The lens is equipped with a solid and precise brass bayonet. The special treatment of the surface to reinforce the strength enables long-lasting use.
