The cutting-edge optical technologies of Sony enable this fast super telephoto lens with wide aperture, outstanding resolution right to the edge even at F1.8 and exquisite bokeh that is a trademark of the G Master series.

The modern optical construction with elements made of XA glass (extremely aspherical), super ED glass (extra-low dispersion) and ED glass in a precision arrangement successfully corrects deviations. Together with this correction, the floating focusing system ensures the highest possible resolution over the entire focus range of the lens right to the edge of the image.

Although this is a 135-millimetre telephoto lens, the floating focus system minimizes deviations at all focus distances. This enables a minimum focus distance of 0.7 meters and a magnification of up to 0.25 times for close-ups. This allows fine details and other subjects to be captured with outstanding resolution and aesthetically pleasing soft background bokeh.
