Electronic image stabilization in Active mode measures and compensates for camera shake with precise gyro sensor and sophisticated algorithms, for highly effective stabilization without compromising mobility, even when shooting in 4K. With compatible lenses, Breathing Compensation automatically compensates for small changes in angle of view when adjusting the lens focus for distraction-free focus changes.

When the camera is switched off, the lens can be retracted to a total length of approx. 31.3 mm. Thanks to its small size and light weight of approx. 107 grams, it is comfortable to carry and perfect for everyday use

The smooth power Zoom is great for movie shooting, and autofocus is also available when Zooming. The integrated optical stabilization, in combination with the camera's internal image stabilization including Active mode, minimizes blurring when shooting movies. In addition, the E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS II supports the camera's integrated Breathing Compensation, which minimizes image angle shifts when focusing and thus ensures smooth, stable shots.
