In order to be even more flexible and compact on the go, Rollei now also offers the F:X Pro gray graduated filter Soft GND8 as a round filter. GND stands for graduated neutral density. Just like the rectangular filter F:X Pro Soft GND8, the round filter has a smooth gradient.

However, as the gradient of the round filter cannot be moved, as is possible with the rectangular filter by sliding it up and down within the filter holder, Rollei has equipped the F:X Pro round filter Soft GND8 with a rotating ring.

The new F:X Pro round filter Soft GND8 is therefore an ideal addition to your photo bag if you want to be able to compensate for differences in brightness in the image with compact luggage. This filter is simply screwed onto your lens and offers you this flexibility!

• Rugged mountain landscapes
• Forest areas
• Subjects without a clearly defined horizon

Unlike normal ND filters, Soft GND filters are used forsubjects where the brightness conditions have a gradient and therefore require a soft transition for an evenly exposed image. The ideal location for a Soft GND would be a mountain landscape, for example, where the lighting conditions ensure that the foreground of the image appears darker than the background - although the horizon line is not particularly clearly defined. The Soft GND

8 has a density of 0.9 and an aperture stop of 3 stops. One stop means that the amount of light falling on the sensor is reduced by one f-stop at a time.
