Cokin U400-03 Black & White Kit for Z Series

Especially for friends of black - white photography the COKIN BLACK & WHITE KIT was put together.

The KIT contains the following 4 filters:

1x Yellow filter Z001:

This filter is ideal for portraits, as it has the property to lighten the skin and slightly soften freckles. It discreetly holds back ambient light.

Since yellow filter primarily retains blue and other colors with blue components, this filter is especially suitable for shooting in the snow, in the sunshine at the sea and when there are white clouds in the sky. With the yellow filter, the photographer is ultimately always well advised, since it is recommended to filter out the blue during the day.

1x Orange filter Z002:

While its use brings out the textures of stones, for example, much more strongly, the orange filter discreetly holds back the ambient light. Clouds are rendered more accentuated and color tones are enhanced.

To be more precise, the orange filter is a stronger form of the yellow filter. This is because blue is almost completely absorbed by it, which creates a dramatic, thunderstorm-like atmosphere in cloudy skies. A nice side effect is the filtering of haze on the horizon, which makes the image look clearer.

1x Red filter Z003:

The filter for drama. The sky becomes more contrasty and the clouds are brilliantly brought out, furthermore the ambient light is strongly dimmed.

A classic effect with bright sunshine is to create a clear moonlight night out of it. The red filter is ultimately a further enhancement of the yellow or orange filter and is capable of filtering the haze almost completely in landscape shots. This filter also invites experimentation with infrared film.

1x Green filter Z004:

This can be used to develop gray tones that would not be possible at all without a green filter. If this filter is used for portraits, the skin and lips can be darkened a bit.

Green filters enhance grasses, foliage and other green textures, but the COKIN green filter also filters out red sun rays, which can occur in the evening hours.
