Marumi Achromat 200 +5 Filter DHG 67mm
The Marumi Achromat 200 lens has a multi-coating that makes the lens water, scratch and dirt repellent. The lens shortens the focal length, allowing you to get closer to the subject. Ideal for close-ups and product photography. The specially developed ring prevents unwanted reflections. Compared to non-achromatic lenses (normal macro filters), this DHG lens increases sharpness and shows more details on difficult objects such as glass and jewelry. It is not necessary to extend the exposure time.
The power of an achromatic lens is given in diopters, in this case + 5. You can use the following formula to calculate how you can reduce the minimum focal length with a specific macro or close-up filter.
Formula
X: (D * X + 1)
X is the minimum focal length of the lens in meters and D is the diopter.
Calculation example
You have a lens with a focusing distance of 55 cm and you use this lens with a diopter of +5. In this case, the calculation is
0.55 (5 * 0.55 + 1), and this is the same as :
0.55 : (2.75 + 1) or:
0.55 : 3.65 = 0.146 meters, i.e. 14.6 cm.
