Black Mist Filter 1/4 - for Swift System - Nano coating with optical glass

The NiSi Black Mist 1/4 Filter for the NiSi True Color VND Swift System is a diffusion filter designed for use with the NiSi Swift System. Creates a filmic look by reducing highlights and softening contrast while softening wrinkles and blemishes to create a soft, pastel quality of light. With an additional layer of black speckles, this filter ensures little loss of detail in the image compared to conventional diffusion filters. The nano-coating on this filter is waterproof and anti-reflective, making it suitable for any type of photography. This filter can be used with the Swift system adapter ring or attached to the NiSi True Color VND 1-5 stops/5- 9 stops for even more light protection.

The NiSi Swift system works seamlessly with the NiSi True Color 1-5 stop VND Variable ND filter and allows you to expand the possibilities by adding additional filters by simply pressing them onto the front of the NiSi True Color 1-5 stop VND Variable ND filter.

With the NiSi Black Mist 1/4 filter for the NiSi True Color VND Swift system, the NiSi True Color 1-5 stop VND Variable ND filter is extended to a 1-5 VND filter with Black Mist. Or use the NiSi Black Mist 1/4 Filter for the NiSi True Color VND Swift System with the optional adapter ring (sold separately) and attach it to a lens.

Suppress highlights and enhance shadows

NiSi's Black Mist suppresses highlights and enhances shadows for balanced contrast. Light sources are given a strong center with a pleasant glow from the light source.

Black Mist is suitable for many applications.

Black Mist filters can be used not only in portrait photography, but also in other scenes such as night photography, landscapes and still lifes to create a cinematic atmosphere. Black Mist adds additional blooming and color gradients to the lights in your scene. Any direct light source becomes more film-like, with a smoother, buttery texture around the lights.

The unique lens-quality optical glass that has made the NiSi brand famous has also been used for this ND variable. Added to this is the Nano Coating treatment, which makes the surface waterproof and resistant to grease and dirt. Cleaning the filters has never been so easy.

This filter has no thread on the lens side*, as NiSi has developed a new push-to-fit system to easily and "quickly" adapt the NiSi Black Mist 1/4 filter to your TRUE COLOR ND-VARIO 1-5 stops (0.3-1.5) or stack it together with the True Color ND16 4 stops, or use it alone with the optional adapter ring for the Swift system.

*Thread is only present on the front of the filter, if the photographer or videographer wishes to stack another threaded filter, they must use the correct thread engraved on the filter.
